[Baseball] Braves release Glavine, trade for All-Star McLouth

Players no longer get to choose which team they represent. The Hall now makes the choice, primarily thanks to persistent rumors that Wade Boggs was paid to represent Tampa in the HoF.

 

The main reason I despise the Braves is because they started Smoltz on the last day of the regular season. This was a few seasons back.

The Braves had nothing to gain but it kept us from playing the one game playoff with the Cards. The Cards end up winning the world series after limping to the playoffs. We were one of the hottest teams at the time. What couldve been..

 

The Astros had knocked them out of the playoffs the last two years. They had all the reason in the world to beat Houston.
