Close your eyes Yao, stick to watching Howard rely on his outside shooters to give him space to dominate against the likes of Dalembert and Varejao/Ilgauskas.

I am sure that some people on this board will consider it as one game abnormality. I will be closely watching his performance for the next game…

*Waiting for people to bandwagon on Yao's side*

Looks like NOBODY listened to me as I thought. Howard was just the flavor of the week. Like Melo was before. Where's Melo now? He's fishing just like LeBron and Yao.

but he's in the finals. and he's only 23. getting to the finals take more than just being "flavor of the week." 22 and 15 boards through 3 playoff rounds is not just "flavor of the week."

he's struggling MIGHTILY in this game 1. but let's see how he bounces back. their entire team struggled.

And Allen Iverson went to the Finals in 2001. People still call him a cancer, people are even dumb enough to think T-Mac was better than him what's your freakin' point?

You fail TERRIBLY, and you made yourself look like a hypocrite unless you think Iverson > t-Mac.

The Yao nuthuggers are just foaming in the mouth waiting to pounce on D12 for having one bad game even though he had tremendous series against the Cavs and Celtics.

Lets not get carry away now. D-12 is still one of the best BIG out there. He is 23 and can improve. I dont see him getting a jump shot because all them muscle just stiffin him up. However, he can improve his free throws to about 75% and become even more deadly because you can no longer foul him.

iverson IS better than tmac. iverson IS a sure HOF. and iverson was the MVP in 2001. and he is the one of the best in this generation.

he's a cancer "late" in his career, which shouldn't tarnish what he did earlier in his career.

so really? stop being in love with yao so much. dwight has had a better career than yao ALREADY.

I know you say he is only 23, but I think age at this point is irrelevant. He has been in the league for 5 years now? He started from day 1 and still has no offensive game. At some point you have to say that this guy simply doesnt have the touch. If he came into the league at 20 or 21, I can buy the age argument, but at this point, I am not so sure. When matched up against some of the better and more physical bigs, he has looked horrible.

Shaq dominated or played very well against some of the best bigs in league history from the get go. You cant say the same thing about Howard.

Howard is overrated and has benefited from playing in the rupaul conference of the league his entire career. He's getting exposed against a western conference team now. The rockets and nuggets would have beaten the magic...portland too probably.

Ok...What's your point? And every single player in the NBA has had a better career than T-mac? Can you fail more?

Don't worry, He's just a T-Mac only fan who feels threatened that Yao Ming is coming into his own now that T-Mac is about to leave this place.

Let's face it, Howard is the 2nd best center in the NBA and that's no insult to him. But If you switch Yao with Howard, Magic would still be in the Finals.

People act like Howard is the ONLY reason why they made it when that's not true at all.

Yao on Magic = Most efficient offense in the NBA by a mile.

This is not a valid augment to compare DW and Yao. They played different opponents previously during this playoffs. Hence, their performance in the Lakers series should be a better indicator.

i never said howard is even close to shaq. i admit howard isn't a truly great player. but in the era of watered-down centers, he's the best. if he played in the 90s, he'd be a 3rd tier center.

i never once said he's one of the greatest centers to lace it up. and i don't think he'll ever reach the conversation of being top 8-9 centers of all time either.

    but he's the best NOW.

i'd be glad if they trade tracy for a backup C.

word? yao is on the magic? are you saying his teammates, who went toe-to-toe with the big bad lakers without him aren't good?

yao is the best OFFENSIVE center. and that's it. howard dominates him in everything else.

Guess you never heard of the term post defense, Then again no Tracy only fan would even know what defense is or tough or hustle or heart. All said and done, you are one of the less credible guys around here. You can call me a Yao nut hugger all you want, but anybody who likes T-Mac fails.
