Guys, I have less than a month to take my defensive driving test and I need help with finding out the quickest way to get it done. I totally forgot about it until a friend brought it up today. I hear there's an online test you can take but I don't know how reliable that is. Please help me out on this one.
I took the Blockbuster Video defensive driving course once, it was ease and they sent me my return form fast.\ i don't know if they offer it anymore? I need this info also because, I need to take it again also.
The online thing works. 2 of my friends have done it in the past few months, but I heard it is really boring. You literally have to site in front of the site for 6 hours as required. You even have a timer on the screen and tells you how much longer you have to go. One friend did in a whole day, the other took him a week to do. When I took defensice driving, I did it at FuddRuckers. You pay like an extra $5 but you get a meal and like a crap load of cookies to eat. I did it where it was 3 hours one night and 3 the other, or you can just do the whole 6 hours on a saturday morning.
Everytime I've taken defensive driving, about 6 times now, the court has allowed me time to get the certificate back. A couple of times I've taken the class on the day it was due. Actually, I don't ever remember having to do anything with the certificate...every place I've taken defensive driving from sent it in for me. Anyway, all the courts care about is the date you took it, not the date they received the certificate.
Damn, that reminds me I have to take it too. Does anyone in know of a good comedy defensive driving co in Austin?
At Northcross Mall, it used to be called Comedysportz, but it's something else now. It's like $30, free pizza, and pretty damn funny. Lemme know when you're going to take it, I gotta do it too.
www.defensivedriving.com You can get it overnighted to you after you complete it. They mail it pretty fast anyways. I just did it a few months ago, it cost 40$. I would recommend it. You just need to sit down and do it.
OK...a motorist is approaching an intersection and notices a bicyclist is illegally crossing the street at a red light...Who has the right of way?
You always have to give the right of way to pedestrians and bicyclist, I believe. So YIELD!!! check this one out to...
i took it at Northcross Mall last year... wasn't very funny, but the teacher was nice and helped make the saturday go by faster... i recommend going with a friend, it makes the DAY really fly by if you have someone to chill with! i had a friend who took it with me there for insurance purposes (not a ticket!)... NOW THAT'S A TRUE FRIEND!
I had rented the video, thinking it the most convenient. Don't do it; it's torture. The thing is so boring, you'll wish you just paid the ticket and taken the insurance hit. Do the comedy club or something. Even bad stand-up is better than the video.
I would recommend DefensiveDriving.com I took it Jan. '01, and many, many people from here at work have taken it too. Its easy plus if you finish a lesson a few minutes early you can get something to eat, or check your e-mail, ect, ect.
