I'm personally much more forgiving when it comes to getting players that I generally hate. Heck, I'd even be able to handle Boozer coming to Houston provided we don't give up too much. But Varejao has the problem of being a flopping a-hole AND suck at basketball. I can overlook anything as long as the player can play. But Varejao can't even do that.
Great memory. It doesnt show on the clip, but that was one of, if not their last possession. All he does is cut to the basket, reach in, and take charges.
Sideshow Bob for reall......No thanks. I dont want anybody on the team that looks like they have Ramen Noodles stuck in there head.
We already got Scola. What can Varejao do that Scola can't? The only different is Varejao give you a few more inches. However, Scola is way better on the offensive end so that pretty much even out. I still take Scola over Varejao if you ask me. Please dont mention Varejao as a backup center. We want a tall strong center that can run the court. Varejao ain't got that!
Why do people here think players would have a better chance winning in Houston than they would in Cleveland? They went to the conference finals. Why would anyone who wants to win a championship leave the team with Lebron James on it?
id rather have gortat apparently so would the rockets (see below) Erik in Virginia: Is there any chance the Twolves will be able to sign Marcin Gortat or is that a pipe dream? Steve Kyler: Pipe dream… Marcin will have a list of suitors and from what we hear he'll get an offer from Sacramento, Houston and the Pistons.
Just say NO to side show Bob. This guy isn't about the ring. If you don't remember this guy held out well into the regular season looking to get paid. He's going to want a big deal. Lets see.... a well undersized backup center/flopper, average to below average athleticism, with limited offensive skills. Just say NO to side show Bob.
I hate the guy with a passion. So hell no! The dude might be the single biggest flopper in the game today.
I doubt we can afford Gortat but man he would be perfect to back Yao up. He offense is decent, can hit the short jumpers and play D. Hell with him as backup. Yao can sit his fat asssss til playoff start.
I totally agree with you there, because of the back up Yao situation. As for Varejao; Scola, Landry & Hayes are all better than he is teamwise. Therefore we don't have a spot for him.
1. He already won, and would win, more with the Cavs so he's not going to sign for less than the next year on his contract, which is like 6.4 million. 2. The PF trio that we have have right now is so much better and costs as much as Varejao would by himself. End of story.
