I just love the State of Florida. Sunshine, beautiful beaches, and of course, the Happiest Place on the Planet. We're leaving on June 11th. The itinerary: - June 11th - Drive to St. George Island, a beautiful state park on Florida's Emerald Coast. We were there in 2002, and it was the best day I ever had on the beach. White sands, clear water, totally empty of people (we were the only ones for at least 500 yrds in either direction). We gathered up over 50 whole sand dollars, and I saw a stingray just a few feet from me. - June 12th-16th - Orlando. Disney's Wide World of Sports for the AAU volleyball championships. My daughter is gonna kick some ass those days. - June 17th-19th - Walt Disney World. I'm gonna ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror about a dozen times. When I first went on it, I was petrified. But as soon as it was over, I had to get back on it as fast as possible. Best ride in Disney. - June 19th-21st - Drive to Tampa to hang out with some old friends. Planning on going to Busch Gardens one of those days. - June 22 - Drive home, staying one night in Biloxi Mississippi. We're gonna drop the kids off at the pool while the wife and I gamble away whatever's left of our money. - June 23rd - Back to reality I am pumped!
Enjoy your vacation Behad, Florida is great times... I lived in Winter Park for like 9 months.. Best time I had partying up with UCF students..
In young person speak, dropping the kids off at the pool means you are taking a poop. Welcome back to the Hangout
Speaking of the Tampa area, right now I'm in St. Pete staying at the Don Cesar. I hadn't been to Florida in years, but I'm really liking this area over here. Hope you guys have a great time.
Sounds fun, i definently want to go to florida next summer and visit some nice beaches with my finance'. Chilcutt
We're going to Vero Beach in July and staying at the Disney Resort there. Leaving on 7/11 and staying the entire week. I haven't been to Florida since 1983 when I was in the 7th grade. I am literally counting the days...
man, that's great!!! that's a Disney Vacation Club resort...were you able to book there without using membership points??
When I drop the kids off at the pool, I typically reply to work emails. In fact, my best work emails happen in this circumstance.
Try to squeeze some time in there for rest, Mr. Behad. Florida is a tiring state. Really? Literally? What day count are you on right now?
Not sure, the in-laws set everything up. All we have to do is get there on our own and everything else is cream cheese (name that movie). They do this for the whole family every few years and this is the first time they've done it since I've been a part of the family. Trip Advisor mostly has all 5 star reviews and it's rated #2 out of 23 hotels in Vero Beach. There will be lots of kids there (hello…it’s Disney) but since the whole family will be there (nieces and nephews included), it should really be a blast. Being single for so long, I’ve never used my vacation time to actually go on vacation before, so I’m REALLY looking forward to it.
If you like rides you gotta hit up Universal Studios. they have a great deal too, $99 gets you a 7 day pass to BOTH parks.
Swoly, you have gone back into this mode where all you do is critisize every freaking post in every freaking thread. Seriously, STFU!
