The sad part is because people pay for it. I really wonder what their demographic is. It's probably freshmen high school kids.
As much as it is overused these days, this song could really use some f--kin' auto-tune. Ugh. Just terrible.
When I came back to my moms house (moved out of my old apartment and moving into a better one on the 1st), my nephew was playing it. He was really excited saying souljah boy was his favorite rapper and he loves this song. SO I decided to listen to the words and all I heard is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Nothing lyrically catchy. I mean he listened to it over and over and over. So for this whole week every time someone turns the radio on I hear it. I don't listen to the radio often because music isn't like it used to be. My little sister came home from school today and the first thing she does was turn this song on and in all like WTF spare my life plz and turn on real music. Instead she listened to it 3 more times.
What yall talking about? Everybody and their mom knows how bad of a lyricist Souljah Boy is, but that's not why people (or little kids) buy his music. They buy it because: 1) his songs are usually catchy 2) his songs usually have really nice beats 3) little kids want to be like him - he's basically a kid himself Souljah Boy promoted himself through myspace, got signed, and turned his street smarts into millions. I thought he was just a one hit wonder when "Crank That Souljah Boy" came out, but he proved me wrong. I don't like his lyrics, but I do think he deserves some props for making it this big and being one of the worst rappers ever; Mike Jones and Shawty Lo can share that title.
Gosh EVE! Look what you have done now..... I can't stop listening to this song, I'm thinking it's more of the beat and the actual music rather than the lyrics..
lol.. This has inspired me now to go back and listen to my own playlists... haven't really listened to music in a while. Thank you!
That's what you should have been dong in the first place. I knew it was a reason why I don't watch BET........................it sucks!

I think the government has found an alternative to the much disputed water boarding techniques used for interrogation...Soulja boy If you locked me in a room and played one of his songs, I would spill everything. State secrets, personal secrets, secrets about my family, my mom, your mom. Anything to make it stop. They would find bin laden in 2 days tops if they used this method.
lol i hate soulja boy ! the only good song i find is Kiss me thru the fone =] Kiss Me thru the phone only bcos of the other guy
Some people want for 1 day in their life to be so shallow and oblivious to the world around them how Soulja Boy demonstrates. Bills, balancing family and career? Why cant Swaaaag ooooooooooooooooooooon be at the height of our concerns, too? Shows how much beat production plays into songs.....and almost as annoying is when P Diddy, Kanye and Jay-Z have to come in and do a "super powered" remix, and at least 1 of them will mimick the Soulja Boy style in a verse to be cute...
Pshhh thats not impressive at all, do you know how hard it is to throw dollars bills at the camera? It takes years and years of practise to make sure you dont throw too much thus blocking the shot, or too little thus not showing how rich he is.
Haha what kind of music do you guys listen to. This is my favorite song out right now. The remix with lil wayne and some girl is great.
