After Bynum's down in regular season, Odom is playing way better than what he's averaging in playoff. Bynum is barely invisible, and Odom is playing subpar. You have to be blind to not see this. Odom averaged 17/11 in first round, he's watered down to around 9/9 in the last 2 series, with .389 shooting, and that's after last night's good game. If you are a PF and you shoot mostly layup at .389, it's certainly unimpressive.
Well like an idiot, I stayed up and watched this whole game. Should have known that the Lakers would pull out the W in the 4th. I'm not going to say a whole lot other than this: The 6th foul called on Nene was extremely weak and an absolute momentum-killer. At the time, the Lakers were up 91-87 and the Nugs were making one last run (what turned out to be their final run). If the refs call that right which was a foul on Gasol and not a block on Nene, then the Nugs could have made a basket that could cut the lead to 91-89 or even 91-90, but nooooooo, Gasol gets to shoot 2 free throws and they go up 93-87. Being up by 6 that late in the game instead of 2 makes a HUGE difference in how things played out. So sick of seeing crap like that playing such a huge factor in the outcome of the game..
Nene flopped, which should be a no call. But then he tripped Gasol and Gasol down too, so it's a block.
You have must been watching a different game from me, buddy. See the other thread for the rest of my response to your "nene flopped" statement.
it's too bad that the Nuggets are a stupid team and the best part is anthony is shooting really bad so he drives to the basket and loses the ball half the time or kmart will shoot the flattest shot you have ever seen or smith will come off the bench make a shot then get a tech for taunting. I really thought the Nuggets had what it took and maybe they do but they have a bunch of thugs and idiots on there team. on that note im hoping they will beat the fakers.
Billups needs to stop shooting those pullup 3's on the break and instead go for the layup. He tried the same thing last nite down 6 or 7 with 2 minutes left in the game on a 3v2 fastbreak. I know hes verycapable of hitting them and is called mr bigshot for a reason, but hes been off this whole series, so unless hes enfeugo I'd rather he take it to the rim on the break. Defensively, the nuggets needs to stop double teaming and switching everything. Thats the primary problem last game that caused them to leave players like walton, ariza and others wide open under the basket. Stop doubling gasol/bynum on the catch and even kobe. Let them prove they can hit some shots before scrambling so much.
Ariza: Nobody is guarding me. The Nuggets didn't even mind to foul when Ariza went in for a layup. They stood around and looked at each other.
Jr smith got some game. As Jvg has been pointing out all series, hes exceled at times, playing defense, penetrating, passing, controlling the offense, playmaking and scoring. I've always been enamored by his skills since seeing him participate in the mcdonalds game, its dunk competition and his display of incredible range... but what ive seen in this series has been extremely impressive. Unfortunately while his talents have been impressive, his immaturity and propensity to lose control of his emotions and composure have been equally dissapointing. I wonder how he would have progress with the spurs under the guidance of pop/duncan had the trade gone through.
