rasheed? josh smith? I think frist and and foremost is DH's interior defense.. next is the length and versatility of Magic players.. they all are long and can score from outside and inside.. lewis, hedo, pietrus..
Combine Smith and Wallace's stats and they didn't shoot nearly as much from the perimeter or as well from the perimeter as Lewis. I also think Lewis is better handling the ball than both and can open up the middle more for Howard. Don't let that take anything away from him (Howard) though because he has been great as well.
There will always be 'haters', thecabbage. There were tons of NBA fans who refused to acknowledge that Michael Jordan was anything but a product of a Nike-NBA conspiracy, at least until the guy retired. Lebron will have no less following of a group of detractors. That and the fact that we have a bunch of Laker fanboys and monolithic Kobe worshipers around here doesn't help matters much.
bron is the best player in the NBA. if you take kobe off the lakers they would be lucky to make the playoffs. the cavs without king james would probably be the worst team in the NBA.
Barkley has been strongly in Kobe's corner the last couple years as the best player in the league, but these days he's very clearly switched over to LeBron. When Reggie Miller asked yesterday after the game what would happen if LeBron had Kobe's teammates, Barkley (I was surprised) replied that he'd never lose. Miller suggested 75-80 wins. Of course these are exaggerations, but it shows how far LeBron has come in their eyes that we'd hear comments like that.
Cavs is in the east. Which Eastern Conference teams' supporting cast are better than Cavs? Boston? Hawks? That is about it. The Eastern conference is still pathetic. Cavs' supporting cast is good enough.
I just looked it up to make sure. He did both: There was a lot of buzz about Cleveland PG Mo Williams guarantee Monday that the Cavs would not only win Game 4 tonight, but the series against the Magic. http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sp...-not-worried-about-mo-williams-guarantee.html
This is specifically what he said: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-mo-williams-guarantee-cavs-magic-0526,0,5782389.story [rquoter] "Yeah, we're down 1-2, but there's nobody on this team [that thinks], definitely not myself, that thinks we're not going to win the series," Williams said. "Yeah, it's going to be tough. We know that. We get this game [tonight] and we go home, we have home-court advantage. "We don't see ourselves losing two out of three at home."[/rquoter] I don't really see where he guaranteed a game 4 win. All he really said was that he doesn't think his team will lose the series.
I guess he didn't say it then. I was just making a joke about nobody else getting the spotlight anyways.
