Actually, the sale is pretty awesome. Beat LA shirts (always awesome), tons of hats, etc. But I do find it interesting that the only jerseys on sale are T-Mac and Francis. It might be because they expected to sell a lot more McGrady jerseys and are overstocked. It might be something else. I mentioned it because it's newsworthy; that's all. None of it is as awesome as the Dallas Sucks shirt that's the product of a combined BBS effort, but it's still a pretty awesome sale.
well it does look odd that McGrady's are clearanced and Shane's and Yao's swingman jerseys are not. I need to see if I have any money to buy something I love shopping

tmac's jersey was on sale last year as well....doesnt mean much other than they didn't sell as many as they thought and want to get rid of them...
It's a authentic jersey -- those are crazy expensive all the time. That's definitely a possibility and probably the most likely one.
That's cool, but I can understand the current Rockets at that price. Since he's an ex-Rocket, it should be half that or 75% off.
its only because they didnt sell nearly as many as they had expected this season with him being out. we were supposd to be selling jerseys like the big 3 in boston did last year. theyre literally doing a clearance.
The sale is awesome, they just dont have my size (jersey size 40) in any of the authentics for sale. I want a Steve Francis authentic jersey size 40 and they never have one.

Guys, I doubt the shirt shop is on the cutting edge of major personnel decisions. They are just dealing with overstock like they would tube socks or anything else.
hardly so mcgrady's jersey has always been a top seller, his and Yao and this year Artest jerseys have been flying off the shelves. they probably ordered more this season than most seasons because they figured they would be attracting more "bandwagon" type fans with the perceived success of the team at the beginning of the year. no one could have predicted that tmac would go from being "the man" to being the guy everyone hates so quickly. just my experiences the rockets online store is a rip most of the stuff you can find cheaper actually in store and then of course the shipping charges are ridiculous. i find that to be dumb, keep the same prices and make the extra cash via shipping, but i guess if they can make money two different ways they'll do it. usually why I do not buy anything online from there.
Awesome! Headline change! The sale is awesome, but the fact that they're unloading McGrady jerseys must be bigger than I thought. Just drive up there; they're open.
so you are trying to tell me you saw all this coming to the guy that led the team the past 3 seasons the team was in the playoffs was going to be vilified to the extent that he was? There were plenty of people who did not like him because of his playoff woes but the majority of Rockets fans I would say were grateful to have a player of his capacity on the team. He just came off a decent series against the jazz where he played with a bad knee and shoulder. I find it hard to believe that anyone saw this coming that he would go and do what he did. He went from having a some detractors to pretty having everyone in the city of houston hating him in a matter of 4-5 months.
