I don't get it either. I guess these people liked the old boring Spurs/Pistons type finals. Those pulling for this define the term hater.

You and I must have been separated at birth. That is my dream too. Mainly because I can make fun of my friends when the Rockets win (I live in Chicago).

My dream is that the game goes to 7 and Tmac makes a buzzer beater to win it in OT. (You probably didn't dream of that Tmac part though!)

This is sad if this is really your dream. Do you really want ratings to go down and the NBA to fail? How can you be a fan of the NBA and dream of low ratings? Does not add up.

Are you familari with west philadelphia?

Kobe/Lebron would make Basketball even more popular

having a series like Denver/Orlando would be hard to Market

Even though I don't Like Kobe's antics, Kobe and Lebron are the two best players in the NBA.

Actually pulling for Orlando/Denver is nothing like the old Spurs/Pistons Finals. Actually the weakest team offensively left in the play-offs is Cleveland.

Apparently a hater is someone who doesn't go along with the majority or Favorite??

If Orlando outplays Cleveland and earns their trip to the Finals I don't see how its bad for the NBA. As good as Lebron is, it still takes a TEAM to get there. And the Magic TEAM thus far has been 3-1 better than the Clevalend TEAM.

It'd be funny if they didn't make it... I know I'd laugh. Then I'd probably not watch the Finals...

I sure would watch. Orlando/Denver play a much better brand of basketball than Cleveland and LA. Man when did this league become ALL about the stars? I thought good basketball used to draw ratings at one point.

A Kobe-Lebron finals would have been a big draw, regarldess of how you feel about it. Now that it looks like that this is not happening, would you feel sorry that you've missed an opportunity to see this great matchup? There is a chance that the Kobe/Lebron Finals matchup will never happen as Kobe gets older every year.

Olajuwon and Jordan never meeting in the finals is a much bigger disappointment.

If they're not the best teams, I don't want to see them.

NBA Finals without Lebron and Kobe will be:

    GOOD:
    (1) Good for this board. No more those kiddies Lebron/Kobe lovers/haters in the thread!
    (2) Good for true basketball fans, like me, no matter who is playing and I am still watching.

    BAD:
    (1) Bad for David Stern and the NBA
    (2) Bad for basketball fans. Nothing is better than watching 2 best players in the world going against each other.
    (3) Bad for Yao Ming fans cause Dwight proves he is the best center in the league!

Apparently you didn't watch the Rockets-Lakers series; or you wouldn't be as cordial towards the Lakers.

Also, I'm not understanding how the Magic or Nuggets (they just scored 120, btw) are remotely related to the Spurs of yesteryear.

Oh the debate will only rage on, i'm afraid. Particularly because of Dwight's tendency to be streaky and disappear in clutch time.

Yeah but we'd be STICKING IT TO THE LEAGUE.....take that Stern!

Says who? If by "better" you mean more effective obviously that wasn't true, as Cleveland and LA won more games.

Otherwise, here's the rankings, efficiency wise

    Denver 7th offense 8th defense 6th pace
    Cleveland 4th offense 3rd defense 25th pace
    Orlando 11th offense 1st defense 12th pace
LA Lakers 3rd offense 6th defense 5th pace

Now who's better and why?

The Cavs play the worst kind of ugly ball. Ever wonder how they won so many regular season games? Watch their 4th Q comebacks all season. They slow the m'fng ball to a crawl.

Unfortunately, it doesnt work against a 3pt trigger happy team :)
