Just bought the movie How High on DVD staring The hip-hop duo Method Man and Redman. I have to admit I was expecting a pot smoking, cuss-a-thon, Which it was, but it with style. The comedy was more than just Two foul mouthed Stoners going to Harvard. I think it was a good supporting cast that helped this movie. The smaller roles in the movie really made it more than just a Friday meets Animal House crossover. Method Man and Redman's chemistry off the screen also helped the movie. Tracy Morgan's cameo in the ghetto field of dreams was a riot. Sure its a little stupid and the plot is kind of corny, But maybe it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I give it 3 and a half out of 5.
I've been really busy, I had relatives come down, Graduation, Trying to get a job, a car, Buying all the R Rated movies K-Mart has. . All that good stuff.
you buy DVD's of movies you have never seen? is this normal for everyone? I usually only like to spend my money on movies I really like. That way I know I will watch it more then a couple times and get my moneys worth.
absolutely! i do it all the time. why spend $4 to rent a movie, when just for a little more you can own it for life? usually i'll only buy the movies i haven't seen if people who have similar movie tastes as me tell me its good, or i think it looks good from reviews and trailers...
I haven't seen the movie, but Meth and Red are the bomb. I bought the CD blackout they did together, plus I saw them on the family values tour, and they are amazing. Fun to listen to....just bravado and word play more than anything else, but their lyrical skills are tight. Anyway, I totally agree- their offscreen chemistry is what makes them so good on screen and in music. I can't remember the last time i saw one of them on tv without the other, frankly. I'll have to check out the movie this summer now that i have some free time. It looked funny, though maybe kinda silly, on the previews. Nothing wrong with that....
Bah, I also thought Joe Dirt wasn't that bad of a movie. I must like watching trash. Ask Zac, dbc, and SCF how old they are.
