This happened to my phone sometime yesterday and I am not sure how it happened and why its not grabbing old messages.

I have my phone synced up to 3 different email accounts, one of them being my exchange server at work.

Yesterday when I get my daily exchange server alert email I noticed all my other emails in my inbox on my phone were gone. I tried doing a resync and it did not download any more messages or even old messages. I keep getting any new messages I received but any of my previous messages it will not download. I have my phone set up to show the previous 200 messages.

I havent deleted the account on my phone and re-add the account just yet. I am more curious as to why it did that in the first place. I checked my mailbox all the emails are there (thank god) and the settings server side and firewall side are set properly to ensure remote sync.

anyone else had this happen to their iphone or blackberry?

I also have my phone to sync for the past month worth of emails on my iphone.

Could anyone have played with your phone? It deletes anything from an exchange server after 10 failed login attempts.

Maybe inside your iphone mail settings. In your exchange account it will ask how many mail days to sync. Make sure that is set to No Limit. Hopefully that will solve your problem.

Hmm... never had this problem.. though I think it can't retrieve the messages from the server so it's likely that the problem is from the mail server. I can't see why it wouldn't load up if its there on the server.
