People talk about momentum all the time, but just look at these playoffs. Boston vs. Orlando - did you see any momentum? Did LA have momentum from their comeback win in Game 1 going into Game 2 vs. the Nuggets? Did the Nuggets have momentum going into Game 3? Was there any sense of momentum in LA/Houston or Atlanta/Miami when the teams would alternate blowing each other out? Momentum is fun to talk about, but it's more just a result of a team playing well in general and thus making them more likely to continue winning. In the cases where both teams are playing well, momentum just doesn't have an impact on these games. These players have lost a lot of heartbreaking games and won their fair share as well over the years. They aren't going to get too up or too down in their next playoff game.
