You beat me to it. To most people, Michael Jordan wasn't MJ until he won a couple of championships. He had a LOT of detractors. I called him the greatest of all time before he won his first one. LeBron has had a GREAT career up to now. People need to get over their hatred.

actually we are not in a Rockets discussion. This discussion are for the people who the LBJ is the best player in the NBA. He's not. He's human, and finally got his chance to win a game. AGAINST THE STAN VAN GUNDY ORLANDO MAGIC.

You do realize that nobody here is claiming that LeBron is better than MJ, right? In fact, you are the only one that seems to be pushing this discussion.

Maybe you feel threatened because you know that LeBron is the only current player with even a chance of reaching that status?

Well duh he has 6 rings in 6 full NBA seasons.

You keep bringing it up like he won a Championship the first 6 years of his career.

i do know that 2 players who got drafted later than Lebron have won titles. in the 2003 class.

god i hate people who only look at recent success. Lebron will be getting hurt in 3 years from now. he plays to damn physical.

Lebron is not Jordan. He probably won't ever be able to do what Michael did. He isn't Kobe either, but that was a great shot.

Imagine how much better the Magic would be with Jameer Nelson in the lineup.

They are a very unique team with two near 7-footers than can shoot 3s and a constantly improving super athletic defensive force at the center position.

A slightly better PG would make them just that much more dangerous. Props to Rafer for being a serviceable replacement. He's been a steady hand for them since coming over but he can't give them as much as Jameer.

When they acquired Pietrus, like some other people, I thought he would be their X-factor. I lived in San Jose for about a year and watched Pietrus a lot when he was playing for GS. He's been a huge positive for them recently. Sort of an unheralded two-way player with great athleticism and plenty of potential.

look at the ages. MJ went to College.

you can't compare college years to nba seasons.

LeBron has a shot (a real good shot at that) to surpass MJ.

I remember in his rookie seasons he couldn't even shoot a mid-range jumper so he got that fixed the next season. Then it was his lack of 3-PT shooting and he got that fixed.

The man dribbles like a PG, shoots like a SG, jumps like a SF, rebounds like a PF, and blocks shots like a C.

    Unbelievable!

No man should be able to dunk like the one he threw down in the 1st quarter.

Take the LeBron-MJ discussion to the other thread... can we just dicuss the game and the series here?

Anyways, I said it before, I think this game was huge for them to win... but Orlando is still in the driver seat and for some odd reason I can't see the Cavs winning in Orlando. I could be wrong... but just my opinion that I think the Magic will go up 3-1..

Your so right. Michael Jordan was 21 years-old and well-polished when he joined the NBA while LeBron was only 18, raw and fresh out of high school. So it's unfair to compare their first 6 seasons.

    Good point.

Geez man, Michael Jordan isnt in the nba anymore, the game has to move on, Lebron is not michael and he doesnt have to be. Being a lebron fan is not the same as spitting on michael.

Michael Jordan even says good things about lebron (like in 2007 when he scored the last 28 points against detroit)

Lebron is the best player on earth right now and is taking steps toward being legendary, accept it.

Futhermore lebron doesnt even play like mike he reminds me more of Dr J + Magic.

It's tough that we'll never know. What a huge dropoff from what Jameer Nelson was doing before his injury to Rafer Alston.

Pietrus doesn't impress me as much. I've never seen him excel over a long period of time and doubt that he ever will. But it's the playoffs and time is short. If he keeps it up for the next 5-10 games, the Magic will be happy.

if you're the magic you got to feel good right now.

you beat them in game 1 at home and loss to a ridiculous buzzer-beater by lebron.

i'd be worried if i were the cavs
