I just want to throw this out there...

James White and CP3... alleyoop fest. The end.

Well if we are talking about this scenario, Posey goes to the bench and Tyson Chandler probably does as well and maybe Chuck Hayes becomes the starting PF (doesn't mean he'll get starters minutes). Chandler will see time at the 4 and 5. The 9 man rotation would be Yao, Paul, Artest, Peja, Hayes, Posey, Lowry, Chandler, and Wafer.

Hayes, Posey,Lowry, Wafer, White, Dorsey, another offensive minded big man with MLE.

That seems like a good bench.

I'm not sure CP3 would fit Adelman's system.

Then we'd get a new coach. Not a problem.

I'd really like this trade scenario if it didn't involve Scola. Landry's an exceptional athlete, but to be honest, explosive 4s are a dime a dozen in the NBA (Tyrus Thomas/Leon Powe/Millsap/Wilcox/Hakim Warrick/Kenyon Martin etc.) The kind of refined 4 that Scola is however, we can't afford to lose, not even for someone like CP3.

If it was Landry+Brooks+McGrady+a crapload of future firsts, I would be a lot more comfortable.

Definately worth a deal if we can keep Scola.

    I don't want Posey...

    Tmac + Landry + Brooks + Shane + picks

    for

    Paul + Chandler + Stoj,hgsgsdghh + fillers

It's really interesting how people keep interjecting silly stuff like this. I don't think any of us would want Posey, Chandler, Peja or any of the garbage we'd have to take in order to acquire Paul. None of us want to lose players like Scola either. But that would probably be the price of acquiring Chris Paul. If he's even attainable.

That's what I don't understand, but its typical of this board. People want to hold on to players who aren't even top ten in their positions vs a guy that's top 5 in the whole league. Every gm in the league would probably take paul over yao, yet this scenerio, the rox are getting paul, posey, chandler, and peja. I like scolandry and brooks along with tracy and shane, but that's a huge upgrade in talents and even in age. Posey does everything battier does and some. Chandler like I said before is a better defender than scola and landry put together. Peja is really just icing. He could be moved for 2 smaller contracts if need be. Its more than a no brainer.

I don't think this is the year to make such drastic changes to be honest. I mean, this was the first time we got to the 2nd round in about 12 years as well as pushing the Lakers to game 7 without our big fella and tmac. I think that shows that we've got the right type of players on our squad so all we really need to do is make little changes here and there, such as getting a back up C and possibly do something with tmac's contract, but other than that, we don't need to do much.

If they are looking for a salary dump why not make it Grady, Landry, Brooks, and Cook for CP, Peja, and Chandler. I believe that works financially and they get two really young and talented players out of the deal.

In theory that works except they also don't want to be a 9 win team for the next ten years and other teams could make competitive offers.
