Just to go along with the most talented and skilled offensive player, what player do you think controls the game the most?

This came to my mind as I watched Chauncey vs. Kobe last night. Chauncey simply doesn't get the credit he deserves. He is an absolute master of getting the ball and doing the right thing with it, making the defense adjust, getting his mates lined out properly. Chauncey controls the whole game for the Nuggets. Just like Kobe does for the Lakers, Lebron for the Cavs, CP3 does for the Hornets, and Nash on the Suns.

What player is best at controlling the game right now?

IMO, it is a tossup between Lebron, CP3, Nash, and Chauncey. And I am leaning towards Lebron and Chauncey. I don't think Kobe does as good a job with his mates as these guys. And it seems that when Kobe becomes the handle for the Lakers that they become Kobecentric and are not able to score effeciently as a team, whereas when Lebron and Chauncey handle and initiate, which is their primary role, their teams are so much better.

Well crap. I didn't put Chauncey on the list. Somebody please close this waste of time thread and fix the poll. I gotta get out of here to the lake anyways.

I think its Chauncey. He always makes the right plays, is poised under pressure, knows when to shoot and when to pass. Having control is all about decision making and he's the best in that regard. Hands down. Just look at the transformation of the Pistons and Nuggets with and w/o Billups.

He really is the "disposable" superstar.

CP3, Nash, and DWill get my vote (because Chauncey isn't on there.)

Nash and Chauncey have the most patience, I think.

I like Chauncey but he can take some bad pull up jumpers at times.

I'm gonna go with NBA Refs. They seem to be awfully skilled at controlling the tempo of the game whenever they want to. Too fast? *Whistle* Phantom foul call on "Insert Random Player".

Should have made it a single option poll, but it has to be lebron.

The cavs 1-5 offense is predicated on that.

Yao MIng!! He doesn't have to dribble or anything. He just stands there and all of a sudden the opposing team feels the urge to wrestle.

I honestly opened this up looking for Stern as an option.
