Pretty impressive numbers but the real question is would the be capable of putting up these types of number and production every game.

Wouldn't be a bad idea? That would be a brilliant idea. Career 45% shooter from the field, 38.6% from deep and a proven 20 ppg scorer. He doesn't attack the hoop as much as I'd like him to but he can create his own shot and is a legit 2nd option go-to-guy. If we go small and play in transition he can spot up on the wings or pull and pop. If we have Yao in and play halfcourt this is where I think he can be most deadly. Running off of screens and busting 3's all day.

I liken his situation to that of Mo Williams. An underrated and under appreciated guy who's played way too long in that hell hole known as Milwaukee. This guy would thrive in Adelman's offense and compliment Yao perfectly. I liken him to a younger Ray Allen without the "hype".

I have one concern with Redd that is in common with T-mac:

    Injury.

Other than that, go for it!

Well Scola and bBattier had a bad game against Denver, also there was no bench production other than Artest because Rick played Barry and Hayes. Include Wafer and Lowry to the equation, then other guys will be able to pick up the scoring if the Rocket's big three aren't consistent every night. Just get an athletic back up center who can block shots and rebound then the Rockets will be set.

i liked redd at first until i saw him more during the olympic games. plays zero defense and if his shot isn't going he's good for nothing IMO. Just look at how many minutes he played after the round robin round of the olympics

I hope he can get well soon. I still hope that T-Mac can be a Rocket next season, and did his best. get the Championship with YAO and Artest.

Not unless they play with more than 1 ball.

TMAC for 6th man of the year! He should play 30 mpg and average 15/5/5.

We need him in the 4th to keep the ball away from Ron. ;)

I agree, cause Tmac won't be as strong as he was
so making him a 6th man would be great!
because when he's on the floor he slows and breaks the tempo of the team because he's supposed to be our superman while he isn't.
Tmac from the bench and be a closer player= Rockets champions in 2010!

There is no question that McGrady makes the Rockets much better talent-wise. His problem is not his talent but his overall attitude towards the game. He is not a team player, regardless of his statements, and he has shown to have a lack commitment for the game.

The telling stat to evaluate McGrady is from Mr. Solomon's blog in the Chron where of the players scoring over a hundred best playoff averages only McGrady has not won a first round playoff series. So there.

what we need to realise is that yao ming is always double teamed and the only way to take the pressure off of him is for another player such as tmac. tmac draws double teams all the time which gives yao more oppertunites.
