I like LeBron's approach to the game and attitude towards the game, so I definitely wouldn't mind Cleveland winning it all since Houston is out. However, Rashard is from Houston and I'll root for him as long as he isn't playing Houston. So, I'm just hoping for a good series and will be happy for either team that advances. Actually, if I'm completely honest, I'm pulling for the Cavs that much more because I just like the chemistry they have as a team. After tonight's game though, I have a newfound respect for Orlando and Dwight. Hearing Dwight say, "We're going to win this game." when they were down 2 with 3 or 4 minutes to go was just...... surprising. It was looking as if Cleveland would win the game at that point, but Orlando didn't fold. Great first game, looking as if it will be a great series.
It would be pretty funny if the Magic were to get to the finals and even win it, seeing as many around here said something like Rafer would never be the PG on a championship team. Funny because he's further once he was traded from here. I am pulling for Rafer. He's an ex-Rocket so I'll cheer for him and the Magic. It's weird how people here in Houston seem to hate the guy so much. I mean he didn't do anything bad to the city. He just wasn't a light's out shooter.
I think that Rafer has only proven to be a better fit for this Orlando Magic team. For the Rockets, he really had to score more if he was going to be helpful enough for the team to keep him and for Rocket fans in general to like him.
I don't know about "go Rafer" thing. But I guess if Magic plays really well this postseason, Rockets' chance of getting Gortat as backup C for Yao would be diminishing.
I had originally thought I'd pull for the Cavs, but I'm pulling for the Magic to win it all simply because of Rafer. I want to see the guy do well.... he better be classy about it if he does win a ring or get to the Finals. If he throws it in our face, I'll be pissed at him forever just like I am Mario Elie.
I'm definitely rooting for Rafer. Nobody can question his commitment to us when he played here. He worked hard every night and tried his best. He's stayed classy even after leaving Houston, too. I remember he was asked about who was better, Dwight or Yao, and he managed to compliment both of them. Let's go, Skip to My Lou!
I'm pulling for the Magic as the better the Magic are, the better our chances of winning a championship one day as we match up so well against them.
really impressed with the Magic win, after the first half I thought they were going to get trounced but they came back and stunned the Cavs. Howard was impressive as he was in the Boston series, unlike Yao his athleticism allows him to take over games at will. Glad Rafe has a good chance to make it to an NBA finals.
I like Rafer and I'm pulling for him, but I want to see Lebron make it to the finals. I won't be upset if the Magic win.
I actually hope the Lakers take out the Nuggets in 4 or 5 and then the Cavs in 5 or 6. That will show the damn morons in the media how stupid they were for comparing the Rockets and their amazing dedication to defense and hard play to the likes of the Hornets, Mavs, Pistons, and Hawks. I mean come on, you don't have to give the Rockets love, but don't go around claiming the Lakers weren't playing and that is the reason the Rockets won. The Lakers decided not to play the first half of game 1 against the Nuggets and yet they still ended up winning. How shocking! Kobe is an amazing talent, dirty as hell, and a coward for talking trash to Battier but running away from Artest, but I wouldn't mind having him prove to the media how stupid they are.
I've got no issues with the guy. However, unlike Sammy or Stevie or even Cat Rafer has fallen off my radar.
