Me too, but you've really gotta wonder if he is taking a couple of extra "supplements" for his body like a God.

I've asked this before, but its worth asking again: Why does baseball get all the bad press regarding steriods? Are we so naive to believe baseball is the only sport tainted? My God have you seen NFL players these days? Do we really believe its amazing sports medicine allowing players to recover from broken appendages in half the time of a normal person??

Wilt could bench 500 lb, was near Olympic level in high jump, a track star and played volley ball at a high level.

    What did Lebron do ?

I think Wilt made up a lot of things, and that could very well be one of them.

I don't know about that, there are (older) players who say that he was by far the strongest ever.

If Wilt is the strongest NBA player ever and for him to be about 275 to 310, and given his outstanding physical prowess. He could certainly lift close 500 or more, that's unbelievable at all. That's not even twice his size. Even though, I think that site is a little bias, most of it is with merit.

    West speaks the truth!!!!!!!!

Its funny that west said it though given that he was critical of lebron like 5 months ago when he was talking about lebrons inability to move without the ball.

I still like Lebron over Kobe as the better overall player but Kobe would have closed that game out against Orlando. In addition to the missed free throws, what stood out to me was the last play of the game where Lebron drove and his defender fell down. Kobe would have pulled up and nailed the 10 foot jumper where Lebron tried to dribble over the guy and get to the rim despite the entire Orlando Magic team waiting for him there.

Lebron needs a midrange game in the worst way. His "long range jumper or dunk" offensive repertoire isn't suited for closing out games.

Lebron for sure has the chance to be an MJ. But can he last that long?? the dude is killing himself out there on the court. dude plays hard.

So how can you take Lebron over Kobe? If Kobe would win the game? Isn't that the point? Or are you saying Lebron is better as in, he will get his team in more situations to do so?

I think Lebron is the better all around player. I think he has more impact on the game for 48 minutes than Kobe. Kobe is the better closer due to his offensive game being more polished.

All-state WR in high school with scholarship offers from multiple top-25 schools. That's all I can really think of. If Lebron continued to go down the football route, I'd like to think he could be a pretty decent WR or TE.

I'm calling BS on the 500lb bench press. You can be a great, great athlete but having freakish upper body strength is a different matter.

Kobe isn't more "clutch" than LeBron. This is purely reputation. The numbers, however you look at them, say otherwise.

From 82games.com: in clutch time (less than 5 minutes left and neither team up by more than 5 points),

    Code:
     [B] Kobe LeBron[/B]
    =====================================
    Points/48 (FG): [b]56.7[/b] 55.6
    Effective FG%: 50.9% [b]61.1%[/b]
    Points/48 (FT): 16.9 [b]17.8[/b]
    Fouls drawn: 10.1% [b]24.2%[/b]
    Assists/48: 5.7 [b]12.6[/b]
    "Hands" rating: 27.8 [b]32.0[/b]
    Rebound rating: 21.1 [b]30.8[/b]
    Blocks/48: 0.0 [b]1.7[/b]
    Net +/- per 48: 33.7 [b]44.6[/b]

OK, but you say Kobe would have made the game winning shot.

Well, in the past five years including the playoff, LeBron has made 17 game winning shots on 34% shooting and 6 assists and 4 turnovers. Kobe has 14 game winning shots on 25% shooting with 1 assist and 5 turnovers.

Oh, but Kobe steps it up during the playoffs? True.
Kobe: 4 game winning shots, 50% shooting, 0 assists/0 turnovers.
LeBron: 4 game winning shots, 50% shooting, 1 assist/0 turnovers.

    But so does LeBron.

Kobe's superior "clutchness" is just hype. LeBron is the best player in the league, and that includes crunch time, too. Believe it.

Addendum to the above (to directly address your "LeBron needs a midrange game in the worst way" comment):

In crunch time, Kobe has an eFG% of 46.9%, while LeBron shoots 46.3% on jump shots.

I'm not saying LeBron can't stand to improve his midrange game, but Kobe isn't really a more efficient jump shooter -- not even in crunch time.

Kevin Willis and Shaq could lift 400lbs.

    Wilt could definitely lift 500lbs.
