Ok, this guys is the most underrated center in the nba right now. I say he's Mbenga o menga v 2.0, and a tougher version of Chris Anderson. The question we should be asking is HOW do we get POPS.

    Raef Lafrentz.

We need more offense, not another rebounder/defender.

I have to hand it to you, you really nailed our #1 priority! Mbenga 2.0 ? You think he has that kind of crazy upside? don't make my heart flutter!

Pops Mensa-Bonsu and Raef LaFrentz. Those are some real winners there.

He's a strong week side defender but a weak man to man defender. Can crush the boards on the offensive sides, aggressive, but no mid range jumper. If he's cheap bring him on board, he could be a really 2nd unit centrec.

I disagree. Our second unit doesnt need to run our offense through our center like our first unit does. And our second unit isnt the best on defense so I would rather have a more defensive minded big man guarding the bucket than an offensive minded big man.

But a big man having both would be even better.

i think houston is just going to get a cheap 2nd rounder and pick a 7 footer just to have someone on the cheap since it will be a limited role.

PMB is going to be a good pick-up... He can really crash the boards... But don't forget that we have Joey Dorsey who is also a good defender and rebounder...

    OR Maybe...

We can brainwash Ernie Grunfeld and trade TMac for Butler, Haywood, + filler, and their 5th pick :D and hope that Thabeet landed at #5... :D :D :D

And if Yao goes down again, we just wasted away another year. Last season the organization had a plan which assumed Yao wouldn't go down. Next season they damn well better have a plan which assumes he will.

We also need Ben Linus to turn the wheel again to get us back to the present.

Bingo. No cheap tall guy for the sake of it is going to work. We desperately need a quality backup 5. Chuck and Luis aren't going to be enough, and Deke is gone.

i agree, but they aren't gonna budge on that while we have Scola and Landry at the 4. They need to strongly consider trading one of the two for that quality PF/C or for a sweet shooting swingman, then let ron walk and sign the PF/C

When Deke went down, it was obvious that the Rockets need to have a decent back-up center... Scola and Landry did a tremendous job against Portland's centers but height disadvantage was really obvious against the Lakers without Yao especially in game 7.
