Thank you guys for all those recaps, and of course for the link. I really enjoyed the interview.

I do belive he should be ready for the oppening night (if not preseason, than the first game of the season). They say the middle of the next season - I do belive it is in the worst case scenario. But he shouldn't think about it. Just rehab hard every day, put your damn effort, the good thing is you have the best trainer possible.

This. Damage control. It hard to believe whatever come out from him right now. Too many "if" about his condition, nature of the surgery, how is he going to affect the team chemistry esp. mid-season when they used to play without him.
He hasn't played for awhile now so even if he comes back it'll take time for him to learn the plays and find his game. Unless I see it on the court, talk is cheap esp. from a guy who often fail to back up his words.

The All Defensive Team is voted upon by NBA coaches who can't vote for their players. Unless there's a reason you have superior insight to back up your opinion, I'd say the joke is on you.

If Tmac is ready by opening day, that would give the Rockets half a season to trade him.

He'd pay to watch Kobe and Lebron play but doesn't care who wins.

What's the point of listening to a damn interview if "talk is cheap"?

I think it was about what we can expect, and it wasn't worth complaining about.

I hope he can hit the court by the first couple of weeks of the season. That would make him even easier to trade, they would be trading something for nothing. At least he'd be able to suit up for the team we trade him to.

if he hits the court that early he will look more than terrible. I'd rather him not touch the court and still have some teams thinking there is a chance he could be back relatively effective, rather than him coming out early and proving it for fact.

If he can make it back by the first game, good. But if he rushes back in like last year, we're going to be in for a long year. He should ease himself back in, maybe even miss a month or two.

Seriously, I'm getting tired of Tmac bashing...Seriously, he has been injured for the past 3 years on and off and pretty much should know by now to not make the same mistake he did before.

When he does finally step on the court, im sure that he along with his doctors will be 100% ready.

    100% ready healthy Tmac = 20+ ppg 4 rpg 6 apg.

Flame me for saying that, but when he is healthy...hes pretty damn good.

Doctors will not clear him to play unless he is healthy. All of you fans who feel that he needs to be traded, I might agree with you but at least give him a chance to redeem himself.

Yea, SF3 kept saying it all the way up to the point he got cut by Memphis!! My problem was I kept taking him at his word.

Mid-season seems to be the earliest anyone is predicting he can get back, and 3 months at least to start clicking if he doesn't suffer any setbacks.

God it's like you people forgot his RECENT play in years. Yeah he would have those superstar moments but he would have a lot more moments like these...

    4 for 13
    1 for 5 behind the 3.

And that was only 1/2 the game. And don't get me started on his D because it was horrible.

Our offense was so stagnant it was depressing.

This year shouldn't count for T-Mac. As another poster mentioned during the season, T-Mac never ran...seriously, he never ran; the best was a jog. At least this was the case the last couple of months. T-Mac moved the ball fine under JVG and I'm not referring to direct assist passes.

we might as well use t-mac if he's healthy.
but mark my words...why in the hell would he be ready for opening day?
    that is just bad.

earlier this season i made a thread about telling t-mac that if he WANTS 3 WEEKS OFF...HE SHOULD USE THEM. He didn't. and he ended up worse.

this is gonna happen, again. That A**Hole better not come back until mid-january at the earliest, I swear to god.

sometimes he didnt run when he was healthy. he burned a lot of bridges in that game in philly two years ago when he just looked like he didnt wanna be there.

tmac might be weapon for us coming off the bench, even if he only averages 15 ppg. im sure this has probably been mentioned before, but either way we become deeper with him. i wouldnt just trade him for garbage. i have a feeling teams will still have to respect him on the offensive end.
