I'm curious was looking online and couldn't find info Rockets draft situations besides the fact we don't have a first rounder. Are we owed and picks? Also I'm curious how our forwards over seas are doing any info?
We can swap 2nd round picks in 2011 as a part of the Steve Novak trade. Minnesota has our 2010 2nd round pick from the Gerald Green trade. I think that's it.
It's not going to be an interesting draft for anyone considering how weak of a class it is. Though, I'm sure Morey will work his magic again.
I'd love to snag a high second rounder, but I don't think teams will be selling them off as much as they have in the past. Here are some teams from which I think we could get a low 1st rounder... Minnesota has #6, #18, #28, #45, and #47 Memphis has the #2, #27, and #35 Sacramento has the #4, #23, and #31 With Memphis and Sacramento being recent trade partners for the Rockets, I could easily see a deal happening with either of them.
Timberwolves have to sell one of their 1st round pick, who's going to pay 3 guarantee contracts to this year's draft?
I think the mature time of rookies is not enough...... YAO is 30 years ago. Shane Battier is 31 years ago. T-MAC? RON? ....... Now we urgently need that is the real-time combat effectiveness !!RIGHT NOW!!!! A strong C on the bench and A Clear-head PG !!! WE NEED !!!
morey mentioned in the press conference yesterday that they consider James White as their 2009 draft pick (b/c he would go in the first round this year). Also, that they will be reviewing there chances of acquiring, trading for a draft pick should one of the (18) guys they like still be available. Otherwise, they dont see a need to draft simply to draft.
This is a really good site for info on trades and draft picks etc, but it seems to be down at the moment: http://n-c-systems.com/hoops/ I just found this link: http://www.realgm.com/src_future_draftpicks.php
