these werent taken by me but by Lumpy or Lumpster I dont think he even remembers what his CF moniker is anymore. but credit to pics goes to him If anyone else went to game 7 and have pictures/video please post them in here with any of their experiences. basically how it started krosfyah emailed me monday morning and asked if I could get tickets and said yeah why? and he said we want to come out to LA for game 7. I was like "LETS DO IT!" After like what was probably like 80-90 emails between 10 of us it finally happened it was a process but it worked out. so they flew in and there were 4 of them they all jammed into my little toyota corolla that probably never had a full capacity before and a full trunk then of course with all due respect to moestavern19 I asked if they were hungry and they said yeah I could only think of one place to take them: after parking we walked down to staples holding up the signs and cheering for whenever someone wore rockets red drove by/walked by. we started to get some heat from lakers fan but nothing major so we met up in front of the magic johnson statue at staples and just drew in whoever we could that was wearing rockets red. i think that is slandballa and his friend and me.. i think this was the majority of the crew but it got bigger pictured above (not naming who is who they can do that themselves) is myself, krosfyah, lumpy/lumpster, StupidMoniker, KDavis, FranchiseBlade, MasterIce, Microfridge and Slandballa if I forgot anyone please forgive me we went over to espnzone where we met up with some of Chuck Hayes' relatives we took a picture with his mom afterwards we went up stairs and took over the balcony at espnzone and cheered on any people below wearing rockets red. once we went back we gathered everyone around and started doing various rockets chants as we entered the stadium. most of the laker "fans" around us rather than starting their own chants or whatever just looked shocked as if they didnt know what it meant to passionately care about your team. We went around the lower section and kept doing the chants and them went up the escalators to the upper section where most of us were. we kept at it, the people in the upper section were at least louder started to boo us and start the oh so "creative" Houston sucks chant. we time to say KOBE really loud so it sound more like us saying KOBE and then them saying SUCKS..they stopped after that. We gathered around and did the rowdy circle and the rest and then went inside to our seats. then I forget the rest of course If anyone else who was there has pictures/videos please do share. While the Rockets didnt win it was by far the most fun I have had at a game out here in LA. I hope to do it again real soon!
yea the memory was a little hazy after the walk-around I loved hanging out with fellow Rockets fans. First time I participated in rowdy chants. Most fun I could ever ask for, so thank you guys for making the trip and represented the Rockets loudly and proudly.
Damn I wish I could've been there with you all. I got to see the game at a viewing party hosted by the Vipers of the D-League down here in the Rio Grande Valley. My son was the lucky winner of two tixs for the Pre-season game between the Celtics and Rockets.
Cool pics. I will try and get mine up before too long. I have to look and see if there are any worthwhile that are different than those.
Nice pictures. Makes me wish I could've been there. Oh yeah, just wanted to say that the chick in middle of the group, wearing the old school Rockets shirt on the 5th picture has really nice.... ....eyes
This vid is at the espn zone before the game. Nothing special but for what it's worth... It's about 50mb so you might right click and download rather than wait for it to load in your player. PreGame avi
Am I the only one that got food thrown at me / beer spilt on me? I was pretty close to getting kicked out of that arena, but kept my cool. I almost lost it when the lady who was working our section came up to tell me "you can cheer all you want, but stay seated." -- WTF?? The funniest part was after the game as we were walking outside, a Telemundo reporter tried interviewing my brother. She asked him a few questions (in English), asked him if he could speak Spanish, he said no, end of interview.
