Twin Towers Redux, lol! God, it would be a riot. One of the very best distributors in the game, and Nash will be an amazing shooter until he retires, IMO. Lowry would be a great change of pace off the bench. Artest, Wafer... I'd certainly pay money to see that circus. Yao would be beside himself with joy! No worries getting the ball. Ever.
LMAO. Rockets only have 1 finisher. LOL. Just to show you don't know anything about the team. You're pretty good at being an arrogant mr who think he knows it all. And talking about Nash lack of defense. Give me his opponent number/stats playing against him before talking crap. Seems to me his opponent can't either guard him either.
If you're going to LOL at him for claiming the Rockets only have one finisher, shouldn't you name those you feel are also finishers? I almost always disagree with Leebigez. On this point I think he's right.
Could be interesting... I don't know if the "Twin Towers" will work defensively given both Shaq and Yao lack lateral quickness (particularly when compared to guys like Sampson and Olajuwon in their youth). But even if they only play together several minutes a game, it will be interesting to see how opponents deal with a 300-lb elite center on the floor for the entire 48 minutes. This will cut down on the minutes and wear-and-tear on each of the big guys, too. Sure it's kind of a waste to have spend a ton of money on guys who don't play 35 mpg each, but it's not like we are getting gonna get a lot of minutes out of TMac anyhow, particularly in the first part of the season. I am thinking Shaq should start each qtr, with Yao finish... Shaq racks fouls on opposing teams hacking him... Yao takes advantage of teams in penalty by making 85%+ of FTs.
I agree. Even if T-Mac doesn't end up shooting the final shot, we know he can make plays. Just a few examples showing T-Mac being our "finisher" without taking the final shot: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4J_pKLCiXnU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4J_pKLCiXnU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GHKWJ8yCqBE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GHKWJ8yCqBE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> How can people say we couldn't use his play making skills in situations like this? T-Mac may be an inefficient scorer, but thats not all he does on offense. Oh, let me guess, T-Mac was just trying to get the home run pass when he should have made a hockey pass right? How selfish of him.
I just want to know one thing. Was McGrady's knee hurting him that year? If so the shame on Ron Artest for letting a one legged man get by him that easy . IDK whats wrong but Ron Artest's D has been slipping lately.
LMAO. It was last season so I don't think it was a problem like this year. But you're right, when T-Mac can blow by you, your All-NBA Defense doesn't seem to be there anymore.
Dang this thread is Looong. Artest sign and trade. I like Artest alot and I want him to stay but I wouldnt be opposed to that trade.
who tells you we have to give up brooks for nash? Maybe Suns only want to save money and rebuild, so we can just trade Tmac for nash & barbosa
Still a terrible trade... Brooks HAS to start for this team. If Nash is coming off the bench (which I doubt he would), then I'm all for it... but we really have the worse end of the deal. I doubt the Suns would do it though without getting Brooks.
Are you kidding me? A good PG can turn most players into a finisher. Nash is that kind of player and the play from the coaching staff are drawn out for him to make that kind of play. We saw Lowry was that kind of PG who give Landry, Scola and Von the finishing move once awhile. But with Nash, you will be seeing more of that. Brooks never give our players that options with his terrible play.
Maybe you should try watching this [FLASH WIDTH=425 HEIGHT=350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trjJit37ucM[/FLASH] . Can Brooks or Lowry create these kind of plays and passes for our guy for an easy finish?
Im mad that you would even compare Brooks and Lowry to Steve Nash. Come one. How fair is that. Steve Nash is like in his 12th or 13th year and Brooks n Lowry are basically rookies to him.
Steve Nash is not coming here. Guys need to just give up. The way the economy is today don't expect to see that many trades. Guys are not moving. The Rockets are going to probably have the same team the had this year. Expect one signing. Hopefully a backup center. If not then expect to see the Ray Lewis of Basketball on the floor
Actually its because of the economy that the offseason will be more productive for teams this year. Contrary to your thoughts Daryl Morey disagrees with you. And I will give up on us getting Nash when you give up on thinking T-mac is #1.
