Does it really matter? Do they make trophies for Top 5 finishes? Knowing UT, they probably got Bill Hicks to buy the entire team a set of shiny rings. They go very well with the recruiting rings/trophies UT has accrued during the Mack Brown era. Bling bling!
I think it does. I'd rather have a top 5 program and lose to my rival than not have a top 5 program and beat my rival.

If you really feel that way, then the OU-UT rivalry, isn't much of one. If you take solace in a Top 5 finish, rather than beating OU, and finishing 6th or whatever.

I'm neither an OU or UT fan, but as a native Texan, I'm ashamed that the flagship in-state school is one that feels like they have a right to be the cockiest. For what reason, I have yet to find out. "We're Texas." Is that like the Grizzlies talking trash to other NBA teams, because they can call themselves, "We're Memphis?" I never understood the self-proclamation of greatness UT fans/alums/students place among themselves.

#5, #6, whats the difference? OU still has scoreboard on UT and will until they can beat the great Bob Stoops. OU is actually ranked among the top 25(#18 I think) in public universities. So is Texas(top 10 somewhere) so to say that OU is a third rate university is really shows how uninformed you are. October 12th can't get here soon enough. See you in Dallas.
