"Former Kentucky guard and McDonald's All-American Rashaad Carruth checked into Oklahoma on Tuesday, registered for summer school and made his way to the newly expanded Loyd Noble Center practice courts to see if the Sooners were really as tough as their national rep.

The report from the players to the Sooners' staff: Carruth got pushed around a bit.

But, getting humbled during a little "rat ball'' is a good sign -- at least in Norman.

Rashaad Carruth has a year to get with the Oklahoma program before he's eligible after transferring from Kentucky.".....

There might be too many good guards to go around....There's also been some talk around here that Detrick will redshirt this year, letting him play his last year with Carruth and freshman De'Angelo Alexander.

not that anyone besides me cares:p

Let's see, what is it now mduke, 9 in a row? 10? Then of course you have the 2000 national champs laying the wood to Mack Attack 2 years in a row and I've got a really good feeling that Bob will own Texas in years to come.

Does it really matter? Do they make trophies for Top 5 finishes? Knowing UT, they probably got Bill Hicks to buy the entire team a set of shiny rings. They go very well with the recruiting rings/trophies UT has accrued during the Mack Brown era.

    Bling bling!

I think it does. I'd rather have a top 5 program and lose to my rival than not have a top 5 program and beat my rival.

mduke, tell your sis...errr....wife that the dentist called. He said her fake teeth will be ready in a week. You may have to sell off your much coveted doublewide, and maybe grow something on that dirt farm. BTW, can't say much about a school whose mascot , the Sooner Schooner, is a old fashioned mobile home.

So anyways, you toothless hicks can enjoy your #6 rating and Final Four appearance. Apparently sports is more important in your craphole third tier university than education. We're Texas.

It's 10:15 AM and OU still SUCKS.

If you really feel that way, then the OU-UT rivalry, isn't much of one. If you take solace in a Top 5 finish, rather than beating OU, and finishing 6th or whatever.

Haha. "We're Texas." Does that mean you have the right to get onto a BBS and hurl immature, and probably untrue insults?

I'm neither an OU or UT fan, but as a native Texan, I'm ashamed that the flagship in-state school is one that feels like they have a right to be the cockiest. For what reason, I have yet to find out.

"We're Texas." Is that like the Grizzlies talking trash to other NBA teams, because they can call themselves, "We're Memphis?"

I never understood the self-proclamation of greatness UT fans/alums/students place among themselves.

    not quite sure....

Baqui: Good one, how long did it take you to come up with that?

Cat: I know you got a better ranking than us, and I applaud UT on that....I was talking about the OU-UT game......

#5, #6, whats the difference? OU still has scoreboard on UT and will until they can beat the great Bob Stoops. OU is actually ranked among the top 25(#18 I think) in public universities. So is Texas(top 10 somewhere) so to say that OU is a third rate university is really shows how uninformed you are. October 12th can't get here soon enough. See you in Dallas.
