its been in my sig for a few months.

they are the most logical partner because they have plenty of scoring perimeter players to choose from as well as an excellent shot blocker in turiaf.

Somehow I dont think Morey is stupid enough to trade with the horrible contracts that GS has. Ellis may be the only one worth it, but he hasnt been 100% since his injury and he is a tweener SG. Imagine he and AB getting abused on defence?

    Yes.

imo Stephen Jackson is a must if we deal with the Warriors. We need a player that can run a pick and roll.

I doubt we can get Biedrins, but Turiaf would be a fantastic fit...

I would do a TMac for Ellis and Turiaf. Off the top of my head we need to take more salary so a third team would need to come in. I would throw in either Landry or Scola (thats debatable but I would be more inclined to keep Scola) to sweeten the deal for them.

No way they give up Biedrins. A year ago Ellis would have been totally off the market as well but since then I have heard rumors of him and management not seeing eye to eye. I think that would give us a very solid roster, although a small back court.

Side note - Imagine a Brooks/Ellis backcourt.

Side note #2 - Imagine Yao trying to keep up with them. :D

I would love to do a TMac for Jackson & Biedrins, but I don't think GS will fall for that. We may have to take Maggette contract with Jackson and if so maybe we could swing another deal with the clippers for Camby or Kaman. Maybe they would be interested in getting Maggette back since they did try to resign him. May have to add a couple of players here or there to make numbers work.

    Brooks/Lowry
    Jackson/Wafer/Barry
    Artest/Battier
    Scola/Landry/Hayes
    Yao/Camby or Kaman

make mcgrady a career rocket. keep him in houston.

a large majority on this board don't give him the credit he deserves. he can fit in on this team.

just give him the chance. he has jelled with every team he's played with. he will be whatever this team needs given time, health, and at least half a season of games.

I am from Bay area, so I could say I am kind of more familiar with GSW's situation.
First of all, Ellis is not a PG, and they try to plug him in there, but he plays uncomfortably. So if we put Brooks as a bait, they would definitely bite, in my opinion. After the moped incident, GSW's fondness toward Ellis evaded quickly, I believe he is no longer untradable.
Second, Biedrins is someone they really high on, so he is not going anywhere. So does Randolph.
Thirdly, I believe Stephen Jackson and Corey Maggette are expendable. They are for sale at right price. I personally likes Maggette much better, always attacking the basket, getting to the line much more often.
Finally, I think GSW knows that they are a 500 team even with everyone healthy, so they would be willing to make a trade.
It would be McGrady + Brooks for Ellis + Maggette. We will need to make another trade to address our PG issue.

Not a chance in hell that we re-sign Mcgrady. And if we do not trade him now me lose talent for nothing. We need to get something for him while we can...

I've said it a few times, Tracy and barry for Jackson,Maggette, and Turiaf. Let von and ron walk.

    Brooks/Lowry/
    Jackson/Maggette/white
    Battier/Maggette/White
    Scola/Landry/Hayes/Turiaf
    Yao/Turiaf/Elson/Cook

Ready to roll and compete for the next 3 yrs. Jackson is the playmaker/big shot maker along with brooks, yao in the pivot, maggette is the guy that will slash and draw fouls, scolandry do their thing and turiaf backs up yao and in case yao goes down, elson is there also. Shane and hayes are the glue guys. All high energy guys with some skill.

Sure would give the media something to talk about if we got Stephen Jackson.

I'd love to have Monta Ellis on this team. His game would fit perfectly under Adelman's system. Think Bobby Jackson from his first run as a King except with more athleticism, quicker, and faster.

His performance dropped since he came back from injury. He is a bit lack of the explosiveness he use to have.

I'd only endorse this trade, I think Maggette would demand too much playing time and may hurt this team chemistry wise ( If we hold onto Wafer there's no need for Maggette)

and I don't think I'd want Jackson on this team either, he's a good defender but a volume shooter. At this point a volume shooter would hinder us more than help us.

I wouldn't worry too much about his injury. He's still really young (23) and he has the type of body that can recover really well. This is not a big man lumbering a lot of weight or an older player with a history of injuries. I think by the start of next season he's as good as 07-08 Monta and his injury will be long forgotten.

When looking at deals that can be made, the first thing that needs to be looked at is flux. When i say flux, i mean organzational shake up. New gm's want to put their stamp on teams, so players are more likely to be traded. Last summer i told everyone that wanted to listen that mo williams was on the block for peanuts. I listened to the gm, who came from detroit and brought in a coach that was very defensive minded. The first thing he said was he wanted to get tougher in the frontcourt and streamline the offense. Most people on this board was so in love with rafer that when williams was mentioned, all we heard was chucker, cant play defense and whatever else they had to say. Most of these posters only watched williams against the rockets like they do most opposing players. The guy is 25 with a nice contract. Well, a few days later, he was traded for a 2nd rd pick and joe smith who wound up on cleveland anyway. I didn't bring that up to pat myself on the back, i'm just saying to lead to this. Nelson basically stabbed mullin in the back. He gave up on the season in the 1st month to really prove a pooint. In the backend of the season, he was alternating the vets and just playing the young guys. The vets didn't like it and made a small stink about it. mullin got fired, now the new gm want to reshape this team.

GSW has basically everything we need or want. The rox have something they might want also. Jackson should never be on a instable team. He's kinda like artest in that the better the team, the better the teammate. Jackson,Maggette, and Turiaf allows the warriors to really play the young guys and get from under some long term deals. Tracy gives them that relief that's vital to adding to a young team after next yr. The rox are in win now mode and this small window is 3 yrs to me. It can be longer depending on how much better brooks gets and how long yao can produce at a good level. Getting Jackson, a guy with a ring and a sense of urgency who can be a playmaker and shot maker helps this team alot with brooks in the backcourt. Maggette gives this team the slasher that can take advantage of not only the fronting against yao, but also the ft attempts and the transition game. 8ft's in 31 mins is great no matter how you slice it. Turiaf is yao's backup and also a guy that can play with yao if scolandry can't guard omeone. He's high energy, athletic, shot blocker who only plays the game 1 way. These contracts match tracy's to a T. On the outside it looks one sided, but long term its really balanced. Would the warriors do it? Maybe, maybe not, but both clubs should have talks about it.

:D that's exactly what i was thinking, but i just don't that happening considering GSW has been establishing Ellis as their franchise player

but man how sweet would that be! a elite top-tier guard who can penetrate, shoot, and create his own shots PLUS a terrific back-up C for yao who is long, more athletic and has a great defensive game

on a side note, i got very upset every time i thought about that fact that we HAD a chance to get Billups and Prince for tmac, and that would change the whole story in this postseason
