Yao and Artest for Gasol and Bynum. If I'm LA I would take them in a heart beat. lol You got a best post presence. You got the best wing player to counter fronting. You got a tough tough defender who can score sometimes. And you still got all the deep role players that LA currently has. Isn't this championship guaranteed? Thank god the organization isn't ran by the stupid fans. Morey will continue to build the team around Yao for atleast another few years.
The only feasable trade I see out there would be C.Paul and Chandler for Yao and I would do it in a heartbeat.
If we trade YAO, I wish he go to CAV or LA, i'm eager to see what would happen when Yao teammate with KOBE or JAMES. Yao expect Kobe more than Tlady.
ofcouse,YAO is a grate player , but rockets management won't trade YAO primary reason is his marketing effect.
hey guys, do u know how many teams , how many managers and how many boss want to get Yao? whatever YAO's court effect or his marketing effect.
Also, the fact as is our loses have shown this last series, he is one of the few consistently scoring big men in the NBA today. Other teams game plan around Yao clogging up the middle and most true centers (not just power forwards playing the position that is happening all over these days) always have a hard time scoring on him. Not to mention, there are probably few teams willing or able to give a player(s) of equal value as to what Yao brings. Unless its, Kobe, Lebron, Dwight or Dwayne, they don't equal what you will lose by trading Yao. Maybe that one guy on the Timberwolves but he has the same injury issues that Yao does.
All fans will turn on you if you get hurt or don't preform. Even the laker's fans were hating on kobe this series. Its a pipe dream thinking a city will just support an athlete.
I don't think LA would accept Yao & Artest for Gasol & Bynum deal. Yao -- you don't know if he can play a full season Artest -- you don't know when he will out of control
well, it is very wrong. with t-mac out, rox passed the first round in 12 years. and fought with lakers for 7 games which Yao play 3 of them. So, what are you expecting? a title with the current roster? are you on crack? or are you that greedy even in the real life? This was a very successful season for rox. keep in mind, every team has max players. teams don't trade their best players when they don't get a title. There is only one title if you remember. Moreover, it is not a problem if rox want to renew Yao's contract. The problem is that if Yao wants to stay here. He can get max contract anywhere except Magic. Not matter rox fans like you believe or not.
i swear to god i don't care if we got deron williams and 6-pack of blonde porno wives in return, i don't want ANY utah jazz players on this team and will boycott any and all trades with that team.
How about Yao for Amare? Amare? Now think about that. They trying to move that boy right now. Sign him to an extension. Amare and Artest? OMGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
It's not wrong to discuss trades involving Yao. It might be futile, but not wrong. Yao, as great of a person and player he is. As much as we might like him, he does have glaring deficiencies, that if his personality were anything but what it is, this whole bbs would be ALL over him 100 times more than they are now. Now, all players have deficiencies, but to have someone so talented to be able to be eliminated from a game by simple fronting is not acceptable...unless you are Yao apparently. I'm not saying he doesn't try. I don't even think it's only his fault/shortcoming. But it is what it is.
In todays economic times, we need Yao for his fan base in China. Hes a great player, he will give us around 20/10 when hes on the floor, but besides that, the shoe deals, the fact that our owner is making money will bode well for the rockets future. I think we need to limit his minutes, let him play 30 mins a game, the rest of the team proved that they can help when hes out, we are just going to need someone else to step up.
Amare also had a freaky accident late in the season. He recovered pretty well from a micro-fracture surgery.
