pretty sure brooks >> bayless + outlaw for phoenix I mean bayless for starting is a horror show for phoenix. but I can see the Suns wanting an Arizona connection for the team AND for the fans. brooks will be the core of deal. that'd be awesome for the Rockets AND for the Suns. Brooks is a stud on a team he is free to trigger anytime he wants. And Nash is the next thing that can push up to a Championship. Aaron's turnovers are fatal to us but to a lottery-bound phoenix team his scoring and athleticsm is much more vital and attractive! brooks + mcgrady for nash + richardson + lopez
how's ab's d any better than nash's? and ab fast enough, eh? how did nash "catch up" with him? you need some facts to convince people your point.
guys, when u can get a HOF guard you get him. John Stockton was still in his prime at 35. Convincing enough??? Aaron Brooks value will never get any higher than it is now.
Of course, I wouldn't want to trade BOTH of our young PGs for Nash, but if it comes down to that, you know Morey WILL pull the trigger. B/c its Steve friggn' Nash we're talking about. Veteran savvy, deep playoff experience, MVP calliber floor general, 50% FG/ 90%+ FT shooter, would put the "Clutch" back into Clutch City. It's a pipe dream. But if anybody can get Nash on this team, it would be Morey. 2 young PGs isn't a lot to ask for a player who will put us way over the top. And as it has been mentioned, defense at our PG spot is overrated, since AB played the bulk of the playoff minutes and his D is just as nonexistent as Nash's.
For me, it's not about how many games he'll play, it's about how productive he'll be when he's on the floor. He's at that point in his career where numbers start to trend sharply downwards. And keep in mind that his offense numbers are inflated by playing SSOL. Terry Porter's Nash is the Nash the Rockets would have out there night to night, not the Nash that appeared when Porter was gone.
You all won't get nash for aaron books. You guys need cap room, first of all and at least 1 potential young star. You guys have neither.
all the weakness u guys have highlighted about nash only makes his value lower and easier for us to get. brooks is the hottest youngster in the league right now. we could get some serious talent for him. I love Brooks, but I think when you can get a legit star you need to go out there to get him.
not many teams have cap room other than portland tbh. and portland plays at the SLOWEST pace in the whole league. Not sure why Pritchard being the shrewed GM he is is going to sacrifice that capspace and young talent for a PG thats long gone before any of his young studs Roy and Aldridge reach their prime. They are not in that much of a hurry to be contending right now. Golden State? Yeah they got all the young talent there is but thats all they have. Nash aint gonna let his career rot there...... Toronto??? Calderon for Nash??? Don't think so... New York??? Sounds alright. but they don't have any capspace and aint gonna give u any nice contracts. So that leaves us. heres why: ---Brooks is a stud
lets cut the ****, and not bring in players when they are leaving their prime.. Houston is key at that.
T-Mac and AB for Nash and some other guy. That seems like a good deal, they get a great young scoring PG, and they get a juicy expiring contract in 2010 and we obviously get what we want.

ur telling me you want to trade aaron brooks, a 24-year old who has 8-9 good years left who just basically started his career as a starter, just proved to the world he can be a very very good player on a very very good team for a 35 year old. so essentially we're renting nash for one year and hope we win a championship and then start looking for young players again. it's time to build up this young core and stop getting these old players. if steve nash was 30, then definitely yes. but not when he's 35.

after watching how the rockets young players played this year, i imagine they will receiving a bunch of offers from different teams. i would say that the value of most players(rockets) went up. i would only make a move for a good solid "big" man.
