The injuries to J.Ho & Stackhouse was the reason why they were 8th seed but they still managed to get out of the first round. With J.Ho being healthy for the playoffs in addition to the troubles Terry presents the Rockets were lucky to avoid them in the first round.

I've seen Francis's play and Brooks's play. There is no comparation about talent level between those two. It really doesn't require a time machine.

Dallas was not the 8 seed. And they beat up a beatup Spurs team.

    And the still accomplished nothing.

AB needs to be a franchise type player to worth the wait, otherwise we'd be thinking of rebuilding in 2010 or 2011 when everyone else is getting older and AB himself is no longer "young".

Sorry I don't see that happening. The odds AB becomes a franchise player is much less than the odds Rox gets Nash and win a Championship.

Wow are you kidding me? Kidd can't shoot and he doesn't break down the defense as good as Nash. Not only that, they have a new coach.

2010 and 2011? So enlighten me with your lineup? You think Nash can't last for another 2 years? You are comparing a legit proven PG to a unproven and unknown destiny of AB.

Can't miss the chance of getting Nash if that's available with resonable price.

The chance of AB becomes a franshise player is just too slim. If Nash is availabe for the right price, go get him.

How would we suck after 2 years? Sure Nash will decline, but it's not like we don't have 2 or 3 seasons to find a replacement. Amare is 2 years younger than Yao, if Yao isn't able to stay on the court in the next few years, we can move on and have a guy who can play center in this league in Amare. If we can find a guy who can play the point like it's supposed to be played to take over for Nash down the line, we have 6 years of contention with that potential team.

There are alot of AB type of PG out there. Finding a Nash type of PG is NOT.

Who here would be OK with the Rockets signing Nash to a contract extension, because that's what it will take? Remember, this guy wants to play till he's 39 or 40, and be paid maximum dollars while he's doing it.

Trading our young guys for this guy is pretty stupid. Nash cant play D and cant keep up with faster guards.

I don't think they want to give up Brooks or Lowry. What would we give up?

Amare gets injured just as much as Yao.

    what do you think about:

    PG: Ty Lawson
    SG: Ron Artest
    SF: Shane Battier
    PF: Chris Bosh
    C : Yao Ming

    possible?

We don't even have a pick in this years draft (even if we buy one it will probably be a high 2nd rounder), how in the hell would we get Ty Lawson?

Chris Bosh will require a max contract. Even if we let McGrady's contract expire, we won't be able to sign Bosh without going over the luxury tax threshold. Who knows if Toronto will trade him, they won't let him go for just an expiring contract because Bosh's contract expires the same time that McGrady's, they will definitely be looking for young talent in return.

The Suns, on the other hand, are having financial problems and will definitely look to cut costs.

Too premature - we should wait until he starts hitting it consistently, then send video of that. I'm sure Dorsey and a 2nd rounder would get us at least a 6-pack of condolences.

I love Rockets fans who want to trade not only 1, but TWO young healthy PG's for an old PG that needs to lay on a friggin' gurney when he comes out of the game. Give me a break guys. Honestly.
