Do you name your valuables?

I have never done it and will never understand why people do it.

 

I name everything - not just valuables... My car's name is Selene. My toys all have names (Hubert, Cubert, Filbert, Albert, Dog, Carmichael... I could go on and on, but I'll stop). I re-named my dogs and gave them superfluous nicknames... I've been known to name plants too.

My hard drives are Miyazaki and Takahata.
My iPods (in chronological order) are Kondō, Tex Avery, and Chuck Jones.
My PSP is Morita.

There's a definite animator theme going on. Studio Ghibli and Warner Bros. represent all my major electronics (named drives helps me separate them).

My car's name is Civ. It's a 2001 Civic. My ex and I named him Civ after Penny Arcade's Div. She decided Civ's a him.
