    'Wonder Twins' Movie Planned

    Fri Jun 7,10:05 AM ET

    By The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Warner Bros. is activating its wonder powers with plans for a live-action
adaptation of the "Wonder Twins" superheroes.

The studio optioned the rights to the characters with Gaylord Films, The Hollywood Reporter
    and Variety reported Thursday.

The twins, youth trainee aliens from the planet Exxor, originally appeared in the 1977
Saturday-morning cartoon series "The All-New SuperFriends Hour."

Zan had the power to change into any water-based form, while his sister, Jayna, could become
any animal. They could also communicate telepathically.

The pair initiated their shape-shifting abilities by knocking hands and crying: "Wonder Twin
    powers, activate!"

    ----------

    who would've thunk it?
who's gonna play the twins? I bet the monkey will be CG like Scooby was!?

Zan and Jayna were so lame. Water and animal shapes -- big deal! You can't save the world with an ice cube and a monkey!

I preferred the earlier, more laid-back Marvin and Wendy. No special powers, but far less annoying.

    Form ooofff.... Ice Pick!
    Shape of ooofff... Grizzly Bear!

Yes, very lame. But still not as lame as Green Lantern not being able to use his ring on anything yellow. I could beat him over the head with a banana and he'd be powerless!!! Muahahahaha!

Does anyone think Superman probably had a good sense of humor?

Trouble alert... The wonder twins suck big time!

And their powers were such a ripoff! She would turn into some animal like a gopher or kangaroo, and he would turn in to something like an "ice" saw, or "ice" rocket, or "ice" motorcycle or something like that. Uh, yea, ok.

    Freak,

It's common sense. He's got super strength, super speed. I'm sure he's got super humor.

You would think that, but either you're born with a sense of humor, or you're not. It's not going to change even if you go from the red sun of Krypton all the way to the yellow sun of the Earth.

Check out this website. It's one of the the funniest rips on the Superfriends that I've ever seen. Note that he doesn't like the Wonder Twins or Marvin and Wendy.

    I second that post.

I will say though that the girl Wonder Twin always seemed to be the "more powerful" of the two.

Her jabroni brother, every time that I saw it, would always turn himself into a bucket of water. Yipee.
