Barry O Picks Likely Jazz Fan as Ambassador to Our Banker

This removes Huntsman from contention in 2012, which was Obama's goal. It burnishes Huntsman's bipartisan and leadership creds, which was his goal. Huntsman knew he couldn't run in 2012 anyway -- he's pro gay marriage and pretty socially liberal, which is poison in the current GOP climate. He's taking some time to beef up his resume and hoping he can return in a few year when the party finds it's marbles again.

 

He should have picked Mutombo. He has the inside track with Chinese officials, since he is Yao's mentor. Mutombo knows several languages. He is an international renaissance man.
