I kinda agree to a point about jax and ron. I know one thing, the rox would have some dogs on the team, maybe too many. Maggette is effecient though, 20 pts on 12 shots in 31mins off the bench would be great. He draws fouls and more than anything, that what the rox need. Jackson does everything you said and is a leader, hard nosed guy with a ring also. Turiaf is the big can can 4/5. Just like last year when i was bringing up williams because of the coach and gm replacement, gsw is ideal because gm's like putting their stamp on the team. The Jax,Maggette, and Turiaf for Mcgrady deal makes sense economically for them and winning for us. They will have another high pick and since they signed the 2 kids last yr, they might just want to go young and shave salary. Tracy comes off the books for them and they can add other pieces also or absorb a contract. The rox have 3 yrs tops to me. They need to seize this small window right now and put themselves in the best spot possible.

Maybe the salaries are matched, but I don't think the Hornets will trade CP3. if this come true, that will be great. think about our starting lineup:
    Yao Ming
    David West / Luis Scola
    Shane Battier
    Ron Artest
    Chris Paul

I am sure Artest, Yao and Mac will be back next season. I mean, I don't like Artest, don't like his game at all. As a person, sure you gotta love him. But his shot selection kills this team.

But I do belive they are gonna trust that big 3 once again. You will be back healthly after a long rest. Ron will be back. And Tracy is working probably the hardest he has ever worked with the best people in the business. They know he is gonna play well, it's his contract year.

I am happy to start that offseason but on the other hand I can't wait to see those guys play again.

    Go Rockets !

Keep the team as is and look for a player that will have the same effect as von wafer did this year.

    I agree.
We should give one more chance to
Lazy pass tmac + selfish shot artest + no offence battier. XD
I still think this is a very good combination if all they are healthy.
Hope tmac not make us disappoint again...
and we can resign artest in a reasonable money...

Don't upset this great team chemistry we have. Resign Artest and Wafer...I don't know why people are talking like Ron will ask too much, he can only ask for what he knows he can get elsewhere and hes not going to be offered anything more than $8 million a year over 3, which I am happy to have the Rockets resign him up.

Number 1 priority is a backup for Yao, this team is good enough to win 50+ without Yao playing more than 30-32 minutes a game and hell give him a rest every now and then. One guy I would love but I don't how we could do it is Marcus Camby, he is exactly what would suit.. a hard worker who will crash the boards and block shots. Can you think of anything worse as an opposition player, first you have to try and get it over a 7'6 wall and then when he has a breather you have a 7ft guy who will chase your every shot and crash the boards hard.

Secondly T-Macs contract, shop it around and if the Rockets can get a decent couple of players to help really compete for a title them I am all for it, if not then let it roll of the books.

The League's hypothetical 2009-10 luxury tax figure is $69.4M
    http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/index.jsp

    Lowry ($2,034,996) to MILWAUKEE
    for Alexander ($$2.583,36M) + Allen (via TE/ $1.3M) /+2009 draft pick
*Bucks looking to make salary space for free agents Sessions & CharlieV.

    Brooks +Landry +Alexander +Hayes +Allen +White, non-guaranteed (10.793,069M) to PHOENIX
for Nash ($13.400,34M) /+2009 draft pick
*Suns have only 9 players on contract incl. Nash. Suns looking to cut salary to get under LT.

McGrady (ca. $23M) to NEW YORK
for Lee (S&T ca. under $9M) + Mobley (ca. $18.4) /+future draft pick
*If Mobley cannot return. Rockets do not qualify for any exceptions but there could be
insurance money involved. Is a valuable expiring contract, trade deadline asset.

Then add low-cost signings to round out the roster...

I think I'm liking the Tmac + players for Butler and Haywood..this team needs a legit Biggie backup for Yao and a consistent scorer at the wings

Another thing I would like to express regarding Tracy is this. Without him, and with Yao being Healthy we were very close to winning it all. So we are ina position where, if McGrady hurts the team too much with the same attitude we saw this year, we can easily sit him out for the season.

At the end of that day, I still believe the upside is better than what we could get without Tracy. Also the upside the free cap space in Free Agency is a larger than the value we could get through a trade.

There are trades being thrown up, which, are moronic. Who will give a Caron Butler or David Lee for McGrady coming off of micro-fracture surgery? I'm am 100$ if Tracy has the right attitude, we will win a Championship.

David Nielsen the Aussie Centre that has been dominating in the Euroleague as well as in the ACB.

HE wanted to come to the NBA last year and received a guarantee from then-GM of the Atlanta Hawks Billy Knight that he'd be brought in during the 2008 summer. However Billy Knight was fired before he could fulfill that promise and Rick Sund didn't like him.

Atlanta has been approached by ALOT of teams regarding the rights to this big man David Andersen. However he does not want to look stupid if he traded away a Scola so hes keeping him stashed in Euro and holding his rights but not willing to trade him.

Morey apparently had been very interested.

I know this is something DM was working at the trade deadline which may have actually happened if Tracy hadn't mailed it in, I think they are going to try another trade with the Wiz' for Caron Butler. He would be perfect for us. And had more height I agree with that. More youth and athleticism as always.

How do people feel about getting birdman as a back up C?

I like the duo of him and landry in together. They could be shot blocking machines.

If you had followed the NBA this season you'd know teams like NY don't want to add salary for 2010. NY are clearing salary for two superstar free agents in 2010. Re-signing Lee would be detrimental to this cause. NY media has recently suggested a T-Mac to Knicks trade. T-Mac would be more than an one year rental he could also be a fall back option since they hold his rights if they fail to lure a big name free agent/s.

How do you know Morey interest? Where did you read/hear this?

We can't get birdman... Look at Denver this year.. They'll try every means to resign Birdman.. I doubt we can offer him more than Denver can too since we are trying to resign both Ron and Von.
