I have to say I enjoy watching the games more with an Adelman offense.

JVG was a good defensive coach but his offense was very predictable.

I think RA has done a very good job in a short amount of time with a lot of adversity.

I think the players really respect him.

I do sometimes question his substitutions but all-in-all I am happy with him.

    im a adelman hater

yes i admit he take us to a good record the wining streak without the two stars of the team most of the part

but at the same time most of the losing was his fault for not taking a timeout when he has to sub a player when he has to used the talent that we have at his full.

and btw my favorite coach to this team got to be JVG cuz he teach the team the defense that we already know and are paying dividends and he got a more controling ofensive game plans and know the pro and cont of the players just for example the set play that he runs for battier at the court sides for the three.

remember the teams that he got and they took us to the playoff not to the second round but fighting near them and for sure was a less team that we got now. he dont have a scola, brooks, waffer, artest, lowry, barry.
on his team he got a hayes, okley, mason, jackson, whetherspoon, rice, snyder, ward and a few more that part of the time was on the injurade list, comon i think he deserve a chance with this team

Adelman was a good coach. All of the posters that have posted so far have pretty much hit the nail on the head.

    - Team still has great chemistry even with all the individual player injuries.
    - Took us to the second round with a depleted roster (our players had some say in that too, lol)
    - 22 game winning streak
    - Almost won against the best coach in the game today, and the best team in the West

Adelman will continue to get better as we go. Once we have a truly healthy team (knocks on wood), I can't WAIT to see us get the number one seed next season.

RA has done something with a partial team in a couple of years that JVG was never able to do here with a full squad in four years. That speaks volumes about how great a coach Adelman is.

You have made a very good argument for JVG. My only concern with him is that he is a micro manager which can potentially stifle growth(I'm not talking V-Span here). Adelman gives them freedom, but he doesn't stop things when they go wrong. JVG is better at X's and O's. Both of them have managed to gain the respect of the players. I think we need to retain Rick for now, because of the chemistry that he has developed with the players.

Just waiting for Adelman to clock Phil Jackson next time he sees them. Ever remember the quiet kid in high school that you think will snap any day now?

I wish JVG fans would quit playing the "team" card to rationalize his failures. If you're going to build your house on a shaky foundation, then don't be suprised when it comes crashing down.

I think we can win the title with RA as our coach in the next couple years, maybe next year, with a healthy Yao and T-Mac.

Rick Adelman is a HOF coach. He's the kind of coach that should be on your team until he retires - not the kind that fans can turn on and run off.

HOF coaches make mistakes. They don't always have the right substitutions night in and night out. But in the end, they are one of the best coaches in the NBA. Some Jazz fans earlier were calling to replace Sloan - ridiculous. RA is in that class of coaches.

We are extremely fortunate Sacramento let him go, and we shouldn't ever think about replacing him until he retires.

Please. PJ got out coached all series long. The only reason the Lakers won that series is because they had size inside and we did not. Take away the second chance points and game 7 turns out a whole lot different.

    Rudy T > Adelman > JVG

He's probably one on the top 5 best coaches in the league.

I still think our success has more to do with having a higher talent level rather than a clear cut higher coaching level going from JVG to Adelman. Morey has done a very admirable job bringing in a boat load of young talent.

Adelman has done about as good as any coach could under the circumstances though. There are a hand full of coaches who would probably have done an equally good job, but certainly no clear cut upgrades at this point

Some people need to realize most of the players brought in when JVG was coach were brought in personally by JVG. So blame JVG partly for the lack of talent during his time.

on my iphone now but if u really need one i will post wen i get home.
i know jackson has been chasing auerbachs record n when asked wat he thought about jacksons coaching auerbach basically sed jackson always had elite players thus his coaching ability is vastly overrated. he didnt say it as nicely as that tho. he sounded angry and insulted.

If you check out Lake's payroll and Rocket payroll, you'll say RA has Phil Jackson's # ;)

Adelman is one of the best coaches out there.. Phil only has Adelman's number because both of Phil's team had the best player in both series (Shaq in '02, Kobe in '09) Adelman is able to milk the most out of his players. Would love to see Adelman coach a gold medal superstar such as dwayne wade etc...
