We have artest bird right, we dont have to use the mle on him. Toronto will lose marion for nothing and might want a solid guy like shane. Its basically exchanging salary for salary. Barry and Battier = 8.6m which in a sign and trade they could get him to agree on signing for 8m and trade him to houston. To the guy that says marion is trash or overrated, for 17m yes, but for 14 and 9 rebs playing great defense and running the offense for 8m no.

If you knew more, then you would know we won't have 20 mill to spend when his contract ends.

Unfortunately, I am not willing to help you.

Trade Yao for Shaq and T-Mac for Kobe.

Problem solved. We will make it to the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. :D

Unless the Rockets salary dump T-Mac for 25% less salary in return and shave off a further $1-2M via a TE. The Rockets can't re-sign Artest for $9M and then use their entire MLE without going well over the LT threshold.

how old is he? I dont think rent a centers are a good idea, we need someone who can stick with the team for a while, i'd prefer someone younger

i like him too, but he's been injured a lot this year, i'd be worried about those injuries having a long term effect, like with Manu

I think his point is Deke won't be back next year. so although this year he wasnt available because of injury, next year he'll be retired. We'd need a replacement, and even though our undersized PFs are good rebounders, when they go mano a mano with traditional PFs or Cs they often come out losing, the effort is there, but physically they come up short.

Don't you think a team with Shaq & Yao is almost illegal? :)

Kwame Brown would be a nice addition, but he might want the green instead of the hardware.
