Ron's contract needs to be addressed before any other moves

    - Get a COUPLE of legitimately sized backup bigs for the C/PF spots (6'10"+)

    - Try to add a wing player with length who can run and score (Ariza, Brewer, Outlaw type)

    - Re-sign Wafer, but only at a reasonable price (2 million?)

    - Think long and hard about re-signing Artest...he is a ball stopper on offense, which you could almost live with if he were any damn good at it. His shot selection rivals the worst in the league. No doubt he brings an edge to the team, but at what cost? No more than about 7 million a year, I'd hope.

Thank God that your not our G.M. Im sure another McGrady hater would even know that this is a dumb trade. Might as well keep mcgrady than trade him for shaq.

with his ego and the way he played this season I think he is going to want more than 2 million. I really think the James White signing was our insurance for Wafer.

Im 95% OK with having no draft picks in this years draft. Other than a handful of players this draft is WEAK! We are in win NOW mode...our draft picks this year can be the development of guys like Jame "The Flight" White and Joey Dorsey

This has been an issue for a while. I was always an advocate of getting Mutombo signed asap, because the Rockets lacked height and size. However, he was only a temporary solution due to his age. If you don't think the lack of size and height is an issue then that's your opinion, but against teams that do possess those qualities, the Rockets struggle as was witnessed in this series once Yao went down.

Yeah, I think we have a good future team. I just think we need a big.. Dorsey isn't really a guy with great basketball IQ.. he just seems lazy.

If we can somehow get Marcus Camby, i think he would be a really good fit. Good defense and productive on offense, and im sure he will be trying to get out of LA

Wafer won't get much more than 2 million, in my opinion. Landry was just as impressive, more consistent, and more mature than Wafer and he only got 3 million.

As for James White, I think he's nothing more than a cheap contract to give the Rockets more flexibility in transactions. An expendable player with a short, minimal contract is gold when you need to balance a trade.

At this point I would recomend sending McGrady out and taking back bad contracts if you can net a stud in the process. Maybe something like Arenas + Jamison. Even Kaman + Camby if do-able. Indiana, Milwaukee, Washington, Clippers are all trade partners.

Offer up Yao and see if you can net a Chris Paul while taking back one of thier bad contracts. Probably would have to be Chandler since we would have no center.

Resign Artest if its reasonable and Wafer. Do your best to keep the core intact!

im tired of yao being fronted and then our offense looks clueless, on another note our defense needs yao. we need a backup C and if we do resign artest it better be under 7. artest has a very bad habbit of ball hogging and shooting bad shots.

But wasn't the reason Landry only got 3million was because of the Bobcats offer. If im not mistaken everyone was worried about his knee. Landry outplayed his contract and I really think will get more than 3million this offseason or next.

Ron is a good 3rd option so i say sign him, we need a second option incase tmac cant be healthy enough to start the season. A second option that can command a double team and create a shot. It might cost us but thats what we need, if jamal crawford opts out id go for him.

Total pipedream but I want Kevin Martin. People are always throwing around these borderline crazy scenarios of "said star" that "said team" cannot afford to keep due to bad ownership or whatever the case may be. Martin is the player I want.

He's the total package if you're looking for a complimentary star. He's smart, brutally efficient, nearly led the league in FT's attempted per game and has underrated size/athleticism to boot. He doesn't need the ball in hands to be effective which makes him literally perfect for Adelman's motion, read-and-react offense. Plus, 25 PPG on 16 shots pretty much speaks for itself.

This is total dream, I realize that. Just saying that's my "dream scenario" if we're playing that game.
