IS IT JUST ME OR IS DAVID THORPE IN HIS LATEST ESPN ARTICLE ON THE LAKERS-ROCKETS GAME 7 EXTREMELY BIASED TOWARDS LAKERS COMPLETELY DESCRIBING A STRATEGY 101 FOR THE LAKERS TO COUNTER THE ROCKETS AND NO CONTRIBUTION WHATSOEVER TO WHAT STRATEGY HOUSTON SHOULD EMPLOY TO WIN GAME 7...

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2009/columns/sto ry?page=ScoutingRocketsLakers7

in the article he totally describes on each minor detail lakers should improve on and offers strategy and tactics solutions to counter the Rockets in each department he has picked out. Such as how Gasol should angle himself so Brooks is forced baseline instead of middle of the court, or Ariza should stand next to Scola to deny him the ball each time. However all he says about how Rockets is improve is---oh rockets are fine I'm saying nothing to help them...

I mean I'm sure Rockets did not play a perfect game...because there is always room for improvement when it comes to basketball...thrope offers nothing for the Rockets...

    thorpe = lakers homer

This game 7 is truly one to watch and enjoy. Well, not so fast, this might be a game decided by the refs again. And we know who will be at the losing end when this happens. I remember Stern being interviewed during game 6 when he said he was not rooting for any team, rather, he was rooting for the officials. Of course, his officials determine who wins and what revenue Stern can expect from the fixed games. Just speculating....

    Go Rocketsl!

I was wandering is it too late for JVG to be a referee?

A comment,Fisher has hurt the Lakers but the absence of a 3rd ball handler/passer on the Rockets is hurting us too. If Brooks gets in trouble,we are left with only Lowry. Brent Barry was brought in primarily for his shooting, but his inability to play as a backup PG causes a lot of problems for Brooks and Lowry. A lot of people of the board felt Barry would be able to play that role, whereas others felt that he wouldn't succeed. I,too was skeptical.
We can't rely on him to play a meaningful role, which was the expectation that Morey had when he signed him.

omg, I have no idea how to even feel. such a rollercoaster this year. I'm soooooo god damn proud of this team... I love it! I just can't logically see us winning tomorrow, but if there's one thing this team has done, it's defy logic.

Totally agree, I hope the refs not foul Hayes out so early. If we can win this one...

Be more realistic man. 153-32 They give up at half time, NBA awards us 100 extra points. Lakers sell franchise to a Euro league where they get spanked in the first round by Greek TMac, vasillious spaniluious.

Wafer hasn't got a lot of minutes this series, but I'm hoping for a hot shooting game from him. Getting 10 to 15 points from him, along with reasonably good defense on Vujacic, could put us over the top.

Rocket fan in Indonesia. Lived in Houston for many years. Have been a fan since 1984. Will be waking up at 3:30am to watch the game. I know everyone expects us to lose, but I still have hope and faith that our guys, if they come in with the right mindset, can pull off the win. I have prayed and would suggest that everyone that reads this post pray also that God would bring our guys a victory. This truly is David versus Goliath and we know how that turned out. So everyone, humble yourself, get on your knees and say a prayer for our guys before the game starts and then have faith throughout the game that with God's help, we will prevail.

    Blessings,

    JR.

I had a dream last night. I was watching game 7 through justin.tv or sopcast or whatever and the score was 88:83 Rockets with a little less than 6 minutes left in the forth. And then the stream broke down!!! Unable to find a working one I had to open nba.com to find out the final score only to see that it was...88:83 :D

    What? Why reality?

The players know and have shown they have every right to be in this series ... so the Rox are every bit of a chance to take this game too.

    Beat L.A.!!!

J.A. Adande: (3:19 PM ET ) But with so much at stake financially, I seriously wonder how the game will be officiated on Sunday. The biggest shame would be if the refs hand Game 7 to the Lakers. What's even worse is that's what everyone expects to happen.

I will be watching and rooting for my rox! Going to be the toughest game this year, everything is against us, but we can still make it happen. Once the game is on, anything can happen!

Anybody knows who are the refs for today's game yet?

I'd rather have Tim Donaghy than Joey Crawford.

I think the reason why he isn't getting much PT is because that incident earlier this series and he hasn't been that reliable on defense.
