Just checking which one was considered the best. Personally, I have to put it in three categories: GI Joe Transformers Thundercats Of the three, I thought Transformers obviously had the best toys, but the story on TV was borderline dreadful. With GI Joe, you really had some decent story lines and some decent character development. But I'm going with Thundercats, personally. I really enjoyed that the story progressed year through year more than the other two. It really made you watch. M.A.S.K. Could've been that, but the were cancelled too early. Thoughts?
The fact this was not in the poll as it's own choice is enough to consider this thread flawed. But out of the ones up there, I liked GI Joe the best.
Sorry, but I caught a few episodes, and it pales in comparison to the aforementioned three. No question.
Calling any of these horrible shows a drama is laughably pretentious. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s4AjEZy7J6M&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s4AjEZy7J6M&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
If we are talking the 80's... 1. Voltron or the original, Go Lion (which is for adults) was amazing. 2. Dino-Riders 3. Defenders of the Earth 4. Centurions
Youtube the others movies, as in "GI Joe movie" and get back to me. The turtles were just flat out stupid, and I feel sorry that you had to spend your childhood watching it. Much better shows were produced. And, yes, I have siblings your age.
Your siblings are not as awesome as me, so don't even go there. The Turtles brought a certain aura that captivated young people in the 80s. They were mutant reptiles who studied karate, but other than that they were just like us. We related to them. Plus Shredder and Krang were badasses and April O'neil had a sweet rack.
I like Transformers the most. But I got a question for the Thundercats fans, did Lion-O ever you know.... errr.... score with Cheetara?
Drama? With those choices??? You kidding me??? Robotech. That cartoon had everything: comedy, romance, action, bigass jets transforming.
who remembers the thundercat episodes where lyno had to fight all his friends. kind of like he was on a trial. but he was tested against a differenct character each episode and the story spanned an entire week. good stuff.
All of thee above + Speed Racer Justice League Johnny Quest Scooby Inspector Gadget Ghostbusters duhhh WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THOSE AWESOME SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS?!
As mentioned, the correct answer is Voltron (lion version), although watching even a little bit of it now you will see it is cringeworthy.
