I've heard it from people around me, Chuck, Legler, Jalen , ESPN analysts, media, media and more media. They kept saying in a way that we won because the Lakers are not playing to their potential. Lakers are not playing hard. Lakers are soft. All are true by the way. but....

We still beat them. I mean we can beat them even if the LAKERS played hard. We had our share of turnovers. We could have lost some of the games. But don't tell me we won because the Lakers did not do everything to win. They actually did everything to win but we did much better to win.

There's a thread here that asked if we should be proud. I think that's a no question. We should be proud no matter what happens. This is the time to be prouder than ever even if we lose because we gave it our all. The Lakers should acknowldege us at the end of the game similar to what Artest did to Portland (but this time the reason is because we won and it is sign of respect). It is natural for react negatively when we lost to Utah 2 times because we were supposed to win and we lacked the effort at times especially TMac but this time it is a different story. A standing ovation is the best gesture for us in Staples Center because you know what : WE WILL WIN!!!

NO...please don't give us any credit...let all the tv announcers keep saying that we don't belong and that we can't win....This team THRIVES off of that.

Then after we win Game7...let's hear PJ say "GIVE THE ROCKETS SOME FU**ING CREDIT!" :D We will accept it then.

I have chosen to ignore them. Everywhere you go, it's people down talking the rockets. The faker fans always have excuses and when we talk about Yao being out they call it our excuse. Everyone expected it to be a sweep then no sweep. Yao went out, they thought i was gonna be easy from there. Well what do you know...we're at a game 7 biyatch.

I think the Rockets will win, but I'm not parading around and announcing it to the world. I almost like the lack of respect we get from everyone. I think all of the pressure is on LA. I'm happy with the season no matter what happens tomorrow. Will be much happier if we make it to the WCF.

It's no different than our fans after we lose to a team we are more talented then.

Just imagine if we were healthy and was losing to the Lakers without Kobe and Pau. We would say our team was playing down to the competition.

May not be true but that is what most people would say.

What these announcers don't get is that that is what happens when you meet Rockets D. We make you look bad. Its been happening all year.

Its hard to reach your "potential" with Hayes, Artest, Battier, Scola, and Landry in your grill.

i can see the highlight film. Voiceover : " And the Lakers again were not playing to their potential ... " [slow mo of Kobe getting stuffed by Landry after trying to squeeze through Hayes, Battier and Artest just like in game 6].

have these national media people forgotten what happened last year? they probably said the same garbage about boston, when they got pushed to 7 games twice, including a much inferior Hawks team........and then of course they all jumped back on the bandwagon when they beat LA.

Regardless of the outcome of Game 7, in most people's mind they have reaffirmed that the LA Lakers have become the LA Fakers. Losing 3-4 times to a star-free Rox is just inexcusable and pathetic!

If Houston wins tomorrow, eventually they will get the credit they deserve.

Once people get an idea in their head (or, especially, if they say it or write it in public), it's very hard to make them give it up.

In this case, the "Juggernaut Lakers" theme just won't quit, no matter how shoddy they can perform.

It reminds me of last year heading into the Finals. So few people, it seems, picked Boston. They bought the hype.

I guess if we're not given enough credit, we thrive better. I think the Lakers are playing tight because they were really suppose to finish the series already. I agree that we should stay humble and just play hard. We should play similar to what Detroit did in the finals against the Lakers of Kobe, Shaq, Malone and Payton. They were really not suppose to win to think Detroit had also talented players like Hamilton, Wallace, Billups, Prince. They are even household names to many. What about our players? they are not even household names to some but now they are getting famous. Just play hard! Rockets fans are proud of you! God Bless our team!

Losers look for excuses, winners just do their jobs.

You don't go around to ask for respect. Respect is never high on media's agenda. It's always about trend. Lots of times, those bandwagon "respects" are just worthless anyways.

Here's the thing people don't realize. Playing hard and competing each game is part of being a good team. It doesn't make sense to say "Oh, the Lakers are clearly a better team, they just don't play as hard and that's why they lost." No -- if they were the better team, then that means they compete hard enough to win.
