They both dominated in the NBADL though. JD sucked it up until DM went down there and told him to get his ass in gear.

there's been so many rumors that I dont even remember what was just a rumor and what was ever confirmed.....BUT i dont believe that specific rumor was ever confirmed, possibly Prince and Sheed for tmac and others, but billups and prince is too much to give for tmac. And the dude in this video is not credible AT ALL, he's been known to present rumors as facts and he words things so they sound credible. What he said only confirms two things, there was a rumor and coincidentally the pistons had interest in trading for tmac.

also, look at the way you word your post, they declined the rumor??? You don't decline rumors? It sounds like you think the rockets decline the OFFER, but there probabyl was never an offer, all they did was say the rumors were just rumors. Teams get hated on for "declining rumors" all the time, like it's even possible, fans need to realize rumors are not facts. Just because there is a rumor doesn't mean there was a real offer made, and it sure can't mean they turned it down if there was never an offer to begin with...

Wow, if Stephen A. Smith says it it must be true! After all, writers bat 100% -- no one ever reports false rumors.

Dorsey can still be a player in this league.

    Be patient Rocket fans...

I agree. After an extremely arrogant statement he uses Stephen A. Smith as credibility. Whew.

No doubt. 25 year old (will be 26 this year) rookies who are "ready to play right now" just need more time.

This is the way I see it. IF he offers defense but little offense beyond dunking he is an upgrade over B. Cook.

He didn't get minutes because his defense is less than Yao, Deke, and Hayes but now he is only worse than Hayes. Since Cook can guard no one, he should get a shot at guarding Gasol.

Rule number 1 never use FACT and Rumor in the same Sentence.

Rule number 2 never use FACT and Stephen A-hole Smith in the same Post.

Rule number 3 if you are going to use stupid rumors from r****ded reporters at least put the crackpipe down and listen to the BS. He never used a source. You can not say the Rockets rejected when the only thing the Rockets did was deny it was even a rumor.

As for your 1 stupid announcer with no sources there are 20 articles saying Dumars denied it and said the Rockets and Pistons hadn't even spoken in over 3 weeks at the time of SAS r****dos report. Also Smith is TMacs mouthpiece. We all witnessed that when Tmac successfully used S ass Smith to abort a trade for tmac at the deadline. So anything out of his mouth can safely be argued as BS. Finally put the crackpipe down and learn the decipher a rumor from a fact.

Man, some of you are some serious homers and need to get your heads out your ass. Lets face it, the Rockets had the chance to get Billups for Tmac but refused to trade him for Billups cause his value wasn't as great as Tmac's AT THE TIME. Why? Billups had a longer contract, was getting up there in age, Detroit wasn't moving foward with him at the time, and beside all that... Dumars wanted to shake up the core group of players anyways ,not to forget they also had that guy name Stuckey on the bench.

Tmac's value WAS greater than Billups in the offseason cause they though he was supposibly healthy and who wouldn't agree that a healthy Tmac had greater value than an aging Billups?

Now for the teams denying the offer or rumors of the trade, well... that's expected. You wouldn't want your star player(s) going into the season thinking that they might be sent packing would you? Esp. when there's good chemistry in the locker room. You wouldn't want that unless our player demanded for a trade. The organization did the right thing to deny the rumors/offers so all of it wouldn't carry on to the up coming season and to keep things from blowing up.

That statement could still be true - but Dorsey would have to be better than Chuck Hayes, one of the best post defenders in the league first. When you have no offense, you have to be a better defender than the other guy with no offense to get in the game.

That's a tough task. As far as the video goes, I'm not sure it looked that bad - it kind of reminded me of watching Dwight Howard in the post.

Ok, I guess it was bad. It's all on him - like Yao said, put 2 years practice in on those moves, and we'll see what we have.

Lol Its funny how a Joey Dorsey thread is turning into a McGrady thread :D :D .. FYI who knows how this team would have been if the trade would have so called happened if there was even discussions. Just because Billups is killing in Denver doesn't mean he is or was going to kill for the Rockets.
