To me the whole point of Scolandry was that when one wasn't in the other was. It's rare that they're ever on the floor at the same time so this post makes no sense.

We need to keep some consistency for game 7.

    Just start Brian Cook.

The Lakers won't be expecting it so it must be a good idea.

This is a little off tangent, but one of the big reasons our PF/C positions have been able to survive with Scolandry and Hayes is due to the versatility of Ron Artest. The fact that Ron can match up with the Lakers' frontcourt guys like Odom, and even a few minutes a game against Bynum and Gasol, is really something that can't be overlooked.

No. We need Chuck's D on Gasoft, and we need Landry's energy and points off the bench

No, the defense is more critical than the offense. As rox is not able to trade baskets with the lakers.

About landry able to body up gasol is just not good enough, as gasol is still able to twist and turn at will and score the basket.

It's Game 7, you have to stick with what's working. We're 2-1 with Hayes at center and the one loss came because Lakers got him in early foul trouble. Also, if you put Landry in, your suggesting we can beat the Lakers with offense which we can't do (at this time). Our wins came from our defense and our anchor at defense is the CHUCKWAGON.

    You want to sit Chuck?

Out of curiosity, have you been watching the series?

Starting Landry = Pau Gasol having a 15 point first quarter.

Landry is better to throw into the game when things are messier and when the 2nd string is in. Put him in the starting lineup and LA's size renders him useless on the offensive end and exposes on the defensive end. He's an average post defender at best.

You want to start out with a front court of Scolandry with our MVP Hayes on the bench? Sounds like you're a closet Lakers fan.

Actually it may be a good idea only for just surprising Phil.

I'm pretty sure the Lakers will help off Chuck right from the start and it would be funny to see them try that to Landry or Scola. It would surprise them even for a moment, we need all the momentum we can get.

Especially if it leads to us winning the 1st qtr ;)

Exactly, I think we'll need the element of surprise for game 7, the team that has won the first quarter has won the game in this series. For sure, the Lakers are going pressure Scola in the 1st qtr probably with Hayes man if he's in the game. Glad we have Hayes but from reading these posts you would think he just got elected NBA MVP and not a player that had DNPs after his name in the box score for 12 games in the regular season.

No, we need Chuck's defense on Gasol. Carl can't guard Gasol. we need Carl's energy off the bench.

Hayes needs to start to try to hold the Lakers down early.
Landry needs to come off the bench to provide a spark but we have to be flexible and quick on the substitution.

Chuck can be very effective on defense but at times they can overwhelm him. That was the reason he committed all those fouls. On offense if the double off him does not clog the paint for everyone else and hurt our offense, we can keep him in longer.

If not, we need to get Landry in quick, we don't want our offense to sputter for a long stretch when Hayes stays in too long. It makes everyone go cold. Most of our guys feed on confidence, if they start out well, they continue to do well, if they don't, they rarely play better later.

We don't want to be down 10 pts, it will be almost impossible to recover.
