actually i think it was a ploy to try to prove to the officials that maybe battier was grabbing his jersey off of the curls.

chances are he told the officials maybe previous to the play (if i remember right this happened after a dead ball?) that the only way the jersey comes out is if he is being grabbed.

of course he let go of the jersey right when he went up for the shot

 

Kobe is toooo scaring... He may lose many fans after this series, really aweful!

I remember him also slapping Vujachick's arm on the bench out of disgust for what he did on court, and I'm certain that's not the only other occasion that has happened. I guess physical abuse is his way of making his teammates better.

I mean, I understand other Lakers players' jobs/paychecks could be in jeopardy by standing up to Kobe, but I don't see how a grown man would take this kind of crap from someone else.

This is the only reason why I hate this douchebag. He's got all the talent in the world, and the work ethics to go with it, but man, it's hard to like Kobe as a person.

 

Not only that, but at one point I saw him breathing our Toyota Center air. THAT'S OUR AIR!

He always bites his jersey. I've seen him do it plenty of times during free throws or any time they stop the ball...

Hmm don't overreact. Maybe its just a habit? he's done it before.

 

Kobe is an attention w**** who will continue to be one as long as people keep giving him attention (like this topic right here)

 

i still can't believe there is seriously a thread about kobe biting his jersey like its a big deal...

 

I remember watching and the commentator on espn said a comment about that whole how it went down, because they were questioning the tip in or what not, but they said something like ooo look at kobe with the jersey in the mouth on the pick and roll....blah blah blah....lakers ate $hit...haha i made up that last part BUT WHATEVER. KOBE IS A POMPUS JERK.

 

When I was standing around during games waiting for the play (whether basketball, baseball, soccer or the other sports I played) I would often stick my jersey in my mouth without even thinking about it. It was just a habit I picked up from the time I was little. I never thought about it and sometimes would take off running with it still in my mouth.

This is the similiar to why mouth pieces never lasted with me. When there was a break in the action I would chew on my mouth piece and after a week or two (a lot of breaks during practices) the mouth piece would be ruined.
