When I saw the game today, suddenly one of my favorite movies popped up in my mind. Sea biscuit! Sea biscuit and Rockets, they said you didn't have enough talents, gifts, blah, blah. Both of you were deeply hurt by injuries. In one word, they couldn't imagine you could win. Go, Rockets, Go, Beat LA in next game! Go, Rockets, Go, Beat Denver! Go, Rockets, Go, Beat LBJ or DH! Who cares! Maybe, just as somebody said, astonishing parallels can often be found in history. Seventy years passed, we are in a very similar economic crisis again. Maybe, again, we will witness another legend to be born. This time, its name shall be Houston Rockets!
Compare Sea Biscuit to the Rockets? Way to kill the mood. What next you gonna compare Artest/Scola/Brooks to the Powder Puff Girls?
seriously, dude, wtf?!!! If I knew seabiscuit was that awesome, maybe i should have actually watched it..... NOT. LOL... seriously though, I looked at the topic and went
Seabiscuit is a freaking fantastic story. and the Lakers definitely play the role of the arrogant War Admiral. I like it...but i love me some horse racing!
Definitely some horse races this weekend. Remember the Derby where the underdog won. The horse that had no chance. I don't think Orlando was supposed to have gone to game 7, but they are. So are we. This weekend am hoping that Mine that Bird, the Rockets and the Magic can pull a Seabiscuit. <
i feel a lot better about the rockets than i do Mine that Bird, especially considering Calvin ain't riding him.
Eye of the tiger has been the only thing going through my mind since last night...think I had a dream about it.
I am having a vision of Calvin in a Rockets uniform. Suit him up for Sunday. Think that would throw off LA's game? "Borel to the rail - er rim!".
