I know the announcers were trying to blow it off. It was hard to see from the camera angle they were using. The base line camera would show it better, but we didn't get to see that. He was looking right at Artest this time and gave him a bloody tongue from the blow. Kobe should be suspended for Game 7.

What annoyed me about the play is that while they were so fixated on talking about Kobe not deserving a tech, none of them explained why Ron was given a personal foul on that play?

About the only thing that might happen from the League is that they take the T away.

Kobe should have gotten three free throws for the tongue-foul. Fouling a superstar with your tongue is unacceptable.

They must have been calling a foul on Ron before the chest bump. Because the chest bump from Kobe was an offensive foul. Kobe initiated that contact.

Kobe threw a left elbow to his chin.......if you slow down the DVR you can see it plain as day.

I wonder if anyone on the baseline got a better view?

I love that Ron is drawing attention to Kobe when he does something dirty.

You would be seeing alot more dirty play from the Lakers if it wasn't for him.

Is this a league for men, or for little girls?

I've been really impressed with how composed Artest has been this series, considering some of the cheap shots he's recieved. Kobe is a punk.

Kobe's reaction when Ron was going backwards means to me he hit him in the face.

    Don't know.

But to say Stern won't suspend Kobe because of a game 7 is r****ded.

Stern suspended Ewing for coming off the bench...and he wasn't even on the court! It was so clear Ewing was innocent. And yet, they suspended him and the Knicks lost to the Heat. I am sure (last time I checked anyways) that the market in NY is bigger than probably all of Florida.

You guys gotta let go of this conspiracy crap. Typical Houston inferior complex.

That was great when we had no rings. But now with two?...I guess the NBA conspired to have the Rockets fill in the Jordan void instead of NYC or LA or Chicago.

man I replayed it like 5 times in HD...Kobe is VERY subtle with his forearm. You can see clearly that Kobe lunged up at Artest and sneaked a forearm right on the throat/chin of Ron Ron...he stopped just in time to make it not obvious and it barely grazed artest to cause the tounge to cut...

the initial reaction from Kobe after the forearm to the throat/chin area is kobe having two arms out trying to say sorry to artest when he ran away...that makes him guilty right there...

With that said, no way he gets suspended for game 7 because its not obvious enough....

I definitely agree with this man. I don't see how they called a foul on Artest from that play. He is allowed space on the court just as much as Kobe, and Kobe didn't even have the ball. Kobe initiated the contact and threw the elbow, although they didn't want to show the angle showing him doing it.

I was very surprised to see JVG take up for that play so much...disappointing. Maybe he is feeling a little slighted knowing that the Rockets might actually make it to the WCF...who knows.

I do hope the league reviews the play carefully from all angles, upholds the tech...and although I know it won't happen, an accumulation game suspension on Kobe for all of his elbows would be awesome. I don't care how we win, as long as it is legal.

someone have the video clip? upload it!

I like how every sports commentator highlighting the game refferred to it as "Ron gets hit and he just runs away, probably the best thing he can do in that situation" lol

I really want a gif from a good angle. I still don't know what it was if anything.

 Come on guys... this is going too far. A little elbow and you guys are lobbying for a suspension?? This isn't the WNBA... some you need watch some highlights and games from games back in the early 90's and 80's. Hell, our old series against Utah had so much shoving and elbowing... Karl Malone

it was a wild elbow/forearm above the shoulders. if they are going to enforce the rules they need to enforce them equally....but they won't.

Exactly. Even though I didn't see anything obvious the first time, Kobe's reaction told me all I needed to know.

He did the same thing when he elbowed and kneed Shane on the ground.

I really hope you guys are joking...

Kobe didn't deserve a tech, and he definitely doesn't deserve to be suspended.
