He thinks he got PJ back because he is MJ2... He had a better coach for his ego in Rudy T... and he helped usher him out of town. Kobe will die in purple and gold, before going somewhere like Charlotte for the ticket sales they'll need to keep the team in town. He's going to fade away as early as next year. He's one injury away from our current T-Mac situation. Public opinion has downgraded him and accepted Lebron as the new league superstar. I think any one in any city other than LA (and some even there) want to see Kobe crushed... by anyone... the hype of Kobe vs. Lebron is TOTALLY about seeing Lebron dethrone Kobe once and for all, and end the conversation about who is the next great player. When it's all said and done, Kobe may very well be included in the HOF... but Lebron might make it in before he does, and Shaq definitely will.

QFT. Before he had Paul Gasol handed to him on a silver platter, he either didn't make the playoffs or got bounced out of the first round. He blew a 3-1 series lead. Then on his first finals series in 4 years, he blows a 24 pt lead on his own home floor and gets an even bigger embarassment in the deciding game.
You watch the body language of his teammates, and you realize that the Fakers are ready to quit on Kobe. In a critical Game 7, facing elimination, I see Kobe trying take over and not relying on his teammates and ultimately falling short of his championship aspirations. All we have to do is apply the pressure in the first quarter and Kobe will explode on his teammates and they will stop competing as Kobe tries to carry them on his back. I can't wait.
Kobe WILL NEVER win a championship on a team where is the best player. His legacy is that of a pompous, overconfident, whiny, spoiled, brat, that destroyed a dynasty. He then whined some more, brought back the coach he had outcast, whined for trades to be made, whined to be traded, then shut the F up when talent was brought in. Whats next? He will start crying again about his teammates. No doubt.
Playing hard and never giving up are great traits, but they can't overshadow other not-so-great traits that Kobe seems to also have. Those have been mentioned previously in spades.
Kobe Bryant is a narcissistic punk who broke up one of the league's best teams when he threw Shaq under the bus. And you know you're a first-class ******* when Phil Jackson throws up his hands on you and quits. He could have won two or three more titles with that team, but he had to be the stud. Screw him. I wouldn't perform a certain bodily function on him were he on fire.
Me either....no Kobe on this team EVER.... I like a hard working hard playing team over a Kobe dominated one. DD
Before this series began, Kobe is one of my favorite players. but now, words can't describe how I hate him.
Good statement IROC, I also remember a time when everyone wanted to see MJ crushed. In the past I was probably the biggest Kobe hater there was, but I have changed my opinion over the years. The things that everyone are referring to happen earlier in his career. You have to remember he came into the league when he was only 17. He basically grew up and became a man on the basketball court. He like Artest made a lot of mistakes earlier in their career and both will admit it; just like most of us have made a lot of mistakes when we were in our early years. Sometimes you have to forgive and look at a person for who he is now. I like the fact that he went to management and said trade me.... The man wanted to win and he was letting management know he wanted to win. Also, remember he played that entire year and never complained and he played his @$$ off. The man has an incredible passion to win and I have to give him a lot of respect for that. Now with that all said, I have a lot more respect for Lamar Odom and all that he's overcome. If not for Odom, the lakers would have been blown out last night. I can't believe half of you are saying that you would not want Kobe on your team. As much as you guys b**** about T-Mac not having that killer instinct and not having any heart, you would pass on Kobe. But then again a lot of you said the same thing about Ron last year.
I saw that kobe was very friendly to his rivals during Beijing Olympic games, but I extremely disagree on what he did to paul gasol today. Apparently, this guy is totally out of mind,no wonder some of my friends said that 2009 is a tragedy for him.
If you consider Kobe wanting to win a championship, then yes, he has heart. But don't think for a second that he wants to win it for anybody but himself. Not the city of L.A., not the Lakers organization, not his teammates, . . . for himself.
I was going to comment on that but cut my post short. There was hostility in the way Kobe shook Pau's head. It wasn't about encouragement. But Pau is so passive, he just took it and said nothing.
