    DAMN that was outstanding.

Doin' Work = Goin' Home for the postseason.

Michael "Houston can't win Game 5 or 6" Wilbon, how you like us, now?!

    Scoop Jackson, where you at?

Phil Jackson (on the podium looking smug right now), I hope Jeanie gives you a phone hug tonight.

KoMe Bryant -- MJ? MJ?!? BAHAHAHAHA

I love these Rockets. Win or lose, this is how you play the game and lay it all out there.

DAMN, I'M PROUD OF YOU, HOUSTON!!!!

Thank you, to the entire Rockets family.

NOW LET'S GO AND WHIP SOME LAKERS BEHIND IN LA!!!!

I could not be more proud of the Rockets than I feel tonight. They deserve all the love in the world, win or lose Game 7.

This is why we watch, and play, sports. Amazing.

Kobe looks bad. Any player can miss shots but he just doesn't have "it" tonight nor did he in game 4. Between this series and the entire NBA Finals last season it is safe to say he just isn't someone who needs to be mentioned with the basketball Gods.

Great player but not what some of these people wish he was.

I know the Rockets played well and LA didn't.

    This is not really necessary.

People don't understand how much he has lost physically. I was just writing about this in another thread.

His legs are old, much older than the rest of him. He's had multiple surgeries on them and they are just worn out from all the playoff runs and the wear and tear of his 13 (?) years in the league.

He is not close to what he once was, physically. And he never will be, again. I'm not saying that as a hater, either. It's just from observation. His legs can't do it anymore for a full game, and that's why he posts up more now and why he took it easy down the stretch this year. He has hit that stage of his career.

What are you talking about? You like Houston, right?

I'm PUMPED, and it's time to celebrate and get ready for Game 7? If you want to go Debbie Downer, that's your business.

I am bursting with pride for these Rockets. And I want them, and the rest of the board, to share in that.

    Cheer up, friend. :)

Give the Rox credit, their defensive philosoph of keeping Bryant off the line and not giving him driving lanes iw working well. For Bryant to consistently make more than 50% of his outside jump shots is nearly impossible.

Gasol playing like crap also makes Kobe look bad.

Be saying the same thing in other threads too. Battier's defense has been phenomenal but Kobe 3 years ago got to the rim no matter what. This guy is a jump shooter who can get there every now and then.

I don't want to invoke the choke city charm on them or anything, so Ill say that the last 2 seasons theyve been overachieving, and Kobe is a year or two away from having Tmac's legs, and even if he relies on the jumper a lot more, he won't be able to elevate or fadeaway as good as he used to.

    Good points.

I don't even care about Kobe, for me it's about Kobe as 'media darling,' and inevitable Finals participant vs LeBron.

I'm tired of the hype, especially as it diminishes the Roxs. Tonight -- like all series -- they flipped the script on the LA jockriders.

LOVE the mental toughness of this team. Incredibly satisfying to watch them refuse to give in to the media hype.

To quote a great guy -- BINGO!!!

I am saying this on other threads and will continue to, my friend. You're right, this needs to get out there.

You got it absolutely correct. Kobe 3 years ago was just a smaller version of LeBron today. No one could stop him from getting to or finishing at the rim. Now, he's tossing up airballs on drives and whining to refs. He's not even close to what he once was, but he still has heart and has to be given credit.

If you want to know how bad it has gotten, Gasol had a higher efficiency rating than did Kobe this season.

Please don't say that. The last time someone said Choke City, it turned into Clutch City.

    Please don't say that again!

Seriously ... if the Lakers are "Choke City", that means we're the freakin' Phoenix Suns.

Lakers didn't choke. This term is being abused.

Ok, ok -- you guys are right. I'll put "Choke City" away.

But the Lakers have choked. Even if they beat Houston in Game 7, they have been totally exposed as the underachieving, whining pretenders they are.

Game 1 was supposedly a result of the Lakers being rusty. Then Game 4 the Lakers didn't "show up."

So what about tonight? What's the latest excuse?

    Answer: There isn't any.

Now the media spin will be that all of this grinding is good for the Lakers. And, "Hey, the Celtics struggled last year, too."

    Bullspit.

The Celtics went all-out all year last year, and had to catch their breath early in the playoffs. They were extremely tough, mentally.

This Lakers team is holding on right now. They're not getting stronger. Just ask Bynum.

Houston absolutely can win Game 7. I'm not saying they will, but they have seen about all the adjustments LA can make and have gotten through them. So long as they are ready to go in that game (you know they will be) and can hit a few shots, they're a very live underdog.

Denver and Cleveland are just sitting back and picking through the LAL weaknesses.

Denver, like Barkley said, is likely to take out LA if LA wins Game 7. Hopefully, it will be HOU-DEN instead.
