I played the Infamous demo, and I was impressed overall. The controls took a bit to get used to, and I think mastering them will take even longer. Still, the main character plays like Sly Cooper with the climbing and jumping, and the hero powers aspect is pretty cool. I'm curious to see how the karma system is implemented. Just off the initial play, the evil powers (red) seem a lot more powerful than the good powers (blue). I'm curious if you play good that the ultimate powerups will be stronger than if you play evil. I just got a Wii today. (well, my girlfriend surprised me with one because I was having a rough time....which explains why exactly I love her to death...but that's a different issue) My question is this: if I went out and bought one Wii game that I could play for a while, and have a lot of fun with, what do you recommend?
I was just about to bring this up. I guess maybe it's not technically a game, but it looks pretty cool. I'm going to get it for sure.
Anyone ever play the game Boom Blox for the Wii? Search feature is disabled, and I don't want to start a new thread on it, as the game's been out over a year. There is a sequel ready to come out (on Tuesday, I think). What I want to know is, is this game as fun as it looks? I bought some cheap fishing game for 20 bucks as my first Wii game, and I don't really like it. I may grab the original Boom Blox off ebay for 28 bucks or so, but I want to know what you guys think of it first....
Boom Blox is really good, its a lot more fun playing with someone else, and I think that the sequel coming out will allow online play so that solves that. Its a variety of pushing/pulling blocks, but you can't really put it into words why its so fun. The physics are very well done, which has been the only tangible explanation I can come up with when describing how its so entertaining. A good PS3 game to check out is Demon's Souls. You have to import it for around 65$, but the asian copy already has english voices. Its like a super dificult hack n slash dungeon crawler, but it managed to get a 9/10 here: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/demons-souls-review
Thanks for the heads up! I read on neogaf this is a very good game, but I thought it was a different type of rpg. What's the best place to order import games besides play asia?
I am really looking forward to the UFC game. The demo is amazing. If any fellow clutchfans want to get their ass kicked on 5/19 let me know.
Only ones I can think of are Play-Asia, Yesasia, and NCSX. I only ordered once from Play-Asia though (and it was for a US SKU), so I couldn't tell you how they rank. I am somewhat interested in Demon's Soul as well. Japan seems to love it, at least more than what was expected (one of the games they most want a sequel for). I thought it was going to be horrible from early impressions and media, but maybe not. I think I might just wait to see if Sony brings it over first though. Doubt it, but who knows.
Thanks, went ahead and ordered it today. It's on back order for 2-3 weeks I just read this game has an optional 3 player online co-op! That's pretty sweeeet, interest level went up 2 levels. I guess this is like Monster Hunter with more RPG elements. I really don't know much about this game, I just heard that it's really good. Judging by how it's still back ordered after it's release in February, I think it's going to be one of those cult hits.
It's not what you think it is... I mean technically...it is co-op I guess, but it's quite the pain to get it going
I'm getting pretty pumped for the Tiger Woods '10 with Wii Motion Plus coming out on June 8. This game looks pretty promising. I love a good golf game, but it's not only that. The new tournament mode looks great, and is an awesome idea. Most off, the Disc Golf mode looks to be a killer party game.
