it reads like what my brother has....a growth of twisted blood vessels which only get worse as time goes on. it resembles a little ball or knot. it can swell. some days...it's worse than others. in his case, it was a birth defect that only became an issue later in life. but, it was quite painful when it acted up.

my bro had to have surgery to remove the mass. he still has issues with it albeit he is much better after the surgery. still has some pain, though.

since you don't seem to be experiencing much pain, this may not be what you have. or, you have a milder case.

or, it could be a tumor. okay...it's not a TUMAH! at least, i hope it's not a tumah!

I had one of these (at least thats what my Dr. called it) that sounds just like what the OP is describing. I discovered I was sleeping with my wrist in a weird position. I changed my sleeping position and it went away.

I know that you are just trying to help, but dude...PLEASE STOP giving advice in this thread. So, let me get this straight. You've never seen his "bump", and from his limited description, you want him to suck the fluid out with a few syringes?

Doing so by himself may lead to some nasty complications, such as severe bleeding, systemic infections, severe rash at injection site, etc. If this is a cyst, most likely surgery will be needed for it to be removed. If it is more of a blister, then you can get away from "popping" the blister and getting the fluid out. It sounds more like a cyst from his limited description, but I'll have to see it to know exactly what it is. I wonder what the pharmacists said when you told them that you needed syringes to suck out some fluid :)

Although this is not a picture of my wrist, this is exactly what it looks like only darker skin. ;)

My friend actually had that on his back. At first it wasn't that bad, but then it started causing back pain, so he had to get surgery to remove it.

A psychic's girlfriend finds out that a lump on her back is a growing reincarnation of a 400 year-old demonic Native American spirit.

    I'm just saying...

No thanks. I hate the side effects of drugs, especially ones that make you sleepy although the doctor already told me he would give me something for pain.

To each, his own... When I had my surgeries, my pain really was unmanageable for a few days post-op... It was a really horrible experience. So from now on, I cut the BS and let them know ahead of time that I want to be knocked out so I won't feel anything!

    Anyway, best wishes!~
