It is to show that shaq and yao have similar durability issues and I can go further Shaq > Yao Hakeem > Shaq so what
Shaq used to stay out longer than necessary in the regular season to keep himself fresh in the playoffs. I wish Yao can do the same.
Start eating crow Lakers fan. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qWUIZqoNr4Q&hl=zh_TW&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qWUIZqoNr4Q&hl=zh_TW&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> While it's debateable whether Shaq or Hakeem is better overall, it's awfully INCORRECT to say Hakeem NEVER > Shaq. Hakeem owned Shaq in 1995 Finals.
May it‘s always not right to do such comparisons, like Shaq and Yao, BigZ and Yao, b/c people can always find out millions of reasons to reject, like they have millions of reasons to lsupport their loving or hating Yao, and actually there're no such perfect comparison or analog in this world at all. Though, here I have to mention KG and make a likely comparison. KG gained nothing before he left for Boston and Maybe Yao would not prove his true value as a centre until he's traded too. But after all, what you guys called "hardcore fans" or "true rox fans" will gain from this trading? Which superstar would you guys really believe that will come to Houston after trading Yao? Would Rockets team really be better from that? It's going to be 2010, and you guys here can talking about trading Yao or not giving him a MAX contract, meanwhile DM could be still begging Yao to renew a lease, and Yao could just make a personal decision on whether to accept or opt to leave Houston. Who is even smarter?
I've said many times. Shaq needed not to worry about the playoff entry ticket, he had kobe or wade to guarantee his team for playoff even Shaq absent for 20games. If rox had a physically and mentally healthy Tmac, I would advice yao to rest for 15more games a season, and to store stamina deep in playoffs. But the fact is, Tmac is a injury prone guy too, yao has no chance to rest. So an average 38mins in playoffs kills him.
Some so-called rox fans may think they are smarter. Only jerk DM offered twice for yao to renew. And sadly, it's refused. I love rockets, for years it's my favorite team not only because of yao. But seeing so many clutchfans being so thirsty for a yao-trade and bashing him like trash after his injury, I pray for a trade too, may yao be as lucky as KG and prove himself and make someone just shut up.
I dont think Shaq woulda played all the games. But if I used 28-30 games instead of 33, some people would have acted like I intentionally tried to tilt the numbers in Yao's favor...The strike shortened season was overlooked, but add the extra games and its still a non-factor in the comparison. There's a difference between injury prone, freak injury, and straight being physically unable to hold up against wear and tear that comes with older players or big giant stiffs. I'd more count on Amare to be a 35 year old Antonio McDyess type than count on Yao to be like Kareem at 35.
To be humoristic. You don't get what he means. Why are there so many Yao haters even when yao played his best season for over 85 games and brought his team over playoff round 1. Something really tells.
Dream Shake >> Shaq's Drop Step > Shanghai Shake Shaq came in built to take more poundings than Yao did. They mentioned this in Game 5, that there isnt enough knowledge in how to handle and take care of a super tall athlete that actually is this mobile, and not to mention this successful. Sampson only had 3 years before his knees were blown.
481x32.42 = 15594 455x36 = 16380 and the playoff games? and shaq's fans didn't cry about not having a good backup center... try again.
