Ron was brought here to be 3rd fiddle. Not the savior.

Ya, what he said. Yao Ming is our #1 option. TMac is our #2 option. Get that through your head. That was the original plan.

Battier isn't supposed to have to put up 23 points. Nor is Brooks supposed to score 34. They're all overachievers. Just keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't think we got embarrassed.

Considering that our two best players are out, we had to switch up our still in a span of a couple of days, our role players are now forced to become the focal point, and that we are facing the most talented team in the playoffs, I am really proud of everything thus far.

We didn't quit! We just had an off night and I can live with that.

The Dallas loss a couple of years ago left me a bit embarrassed because it looked like we got outplayed, but last night we just got out-shot by the most talented team. Its all good.

yeah. thats a no brainer. guy grabs all da boards n gives u solid D. yea ron has a better offensive game but with all the possessions u get from rodman AND interior D and getting under the opponents skin. yeah, if we had rodman in his prime or even declining rodman from da bulls, we stand a better chance.

but who cares? he aint playin.
if artest is on fire then we win. period.

It's my fault Artest shoots off balanced 3's and dribbles too much.

Why is he so inconsistent? Damn, he's Von Wafer with steriods. Pure streak shooter. He should just stick to defense and passing the ball. :(

I'm just surprised there isn't a single post by DaDakota in this thread about Ron.

Artest is a hustle player. He's not the smartest. He's not the most skilled. But he will bring you hustle and heart every night.

When Artest has been successful on offense, he plays like a bully and takes you to the paint. Artest is most successful going to the rim. It pains me to see him dribbling around the perimeter. The three point shooting will come, establish your attacking game first Ron!

I would love to have Artest around next season.

Ron has done exactly what he always does in the playoffs, he struggles to score and plays hard defense.

The problem with Ron is he thinks he is better than he really is.....and that causes problems, particularly on offense.

I hope he gets hot the next two games.....but history would suggest we would be lucky to get one hot game from him.

Artest is a great third option, an okay second option, and a terrible first option.

Unfortunately, we are now stuck with having him as our best player. :(

I don't know why so many people here trumpeted him as some sort of savior at the beginning of the season. He has never been a star caliber offensive player.

During this playoffs, Artest seems to do better when he's more selective about his shots, looks to assist more, and puts his main focus on defense.

I'd like Adelman to get Artest to defend Bynum when Odom's out and give Ariza to Scola, and have Artest share a little of the burden of defending Bryant with Battier. And call more offensive plays for Scola and Battier, with Artest doing more of the initiating.

That is, of course, unless Artest has the hot shooting hand. Then let 'em fly. :)

Artest is a good player. I like the energy he bring to us. But he seems like to play ball as a lonely fighter while we are a team. I guess he have to do that just because we have no good PG to pass ball to YAO also he should do something to get a good contract. Next season artest will show us his best or worst. I am waiting ... :)

unfortunately, when artest tries to be tracy, he sucks mightily at it. he just has to play his role. play off of scola and brooks.

Huge game tonight. Please, Ron, mix it up inside. No outside-outside offense.
